In this episode we visit our FINAL state in the lower 48 - and find out that THIS National Park is nothing like we thought it would be. Find out why this National Park is WEIRD and what to expect if you choose to visit. PLUS Alaska Dog TAKEOVER a little later in the video!
From Alaska:
Hey there, pawsitively awesome peeps! I hope you're all having a barktastic Sunday! Get it? 'Cause, you know, it's a dog thing! (Insert dorky dog laugh that sounds suspiciously like a snort)
Today's episode is going to be off-the-leash exciting because, brace yourselves, I'm taking over the channel at the end! Yep, you heard it right, folks. I'm going to spill the kibble on RV Life during our epic 48-state adventure. Trust me, it's going to be tail-waggingly good! 🐾
And oh my dog, I've got to say a huge, slobbery THANK YOU for all your support. Watching our videos and giving that "good dog thumbs up button" a hearty click has been absolutely paw-some. Those Greenies my humans keep tossing my way as a reward for guarding the RV and sharing my thoughts on RV life? Well, let's just say I've become quite the connoisseur. 🦴
I don't want to brag, but I'm a good dog. A humble one too, I promise! But hey, enough of my canine modesty, I'm getting sidetracked by squirrels - literally! Time to get back to my duties as the official couch warmer of this RV. Catch you on the scent trail later, my fellow adventurers! 🚐🐾
Yours in endless tail wags and bacon dreams,
Alaska 🦴🥓

Y’all are awesome! Congratulations on the lower 48. That’s a heck of an accomplishment and the kids will have such wonderful ( and some not so wonderful ) memories. 45 years ago I took my kids across America on horseback. We stayed at a wonderful state park in Arkansas. It was Lake Dardanelle near Russellville. It didn’t have sewer but power and water. But it was a beautiful lake and a cute town. And it was cheap. Loved our stay in Arkansas.

The kids are now old enough to visit Alaska and appreciate what is there. However, it's too late in this season to go and the "Happily Ever Hanks" just did the trip with their cat. It would be a whole different trip with the kids and I'm sure you already know Alaska is EXPENSIVE. The trip will take you several months. So figure out things you can do that won't cost a fortune and then go for it. We went in 2012 by cruise ship to Seward and then took the Alaskan RR to see the sights all the way to Fairbanks and back. Then we took the train from Anchorage to Whittier and another cruise ship back. We live in WA state.

I loved this! It is a bit bittersweet to complete a task. I had been working on a huge project for Christmas that I started in January and I was surprised when I finished on August 31st that I was not only happy to finish, but that I was also a bit sad. I know y'all will have lots of fun to come. I've always wanted to go into Canada and see Prince Edward Island (Anne of Green Gables House) and the provinces on this side of the world. I loved the ending with Alaska's walk. I might be more excited to meet Alaska than the humans on the trail.❤ 🙏 Stay safe. I'm excited for thing to come. (Jane in SC)

Do you remember the Superman movie where his home was in the like North Pole and the crystals that controlled everything ? These are the crystals that you find in Arkansas. You can go and dig up in the red dirt and find these beautiful crystals everywhere. Carry them with you to like Washington State and sale them for big dollars lol . If you haven't experienced Big Bend National Park, or Big Bend State park in Texas, you really should. I recommend staying at a campground outside the park, as they are easier to book, but when you explore the Nat'l park, a drive up to Chisos Basin is a must, as well as Santa Elena Canyon. The State park...well, you can't go wrong there! Everything is breathtaking!

We just recently learned about the "Duck" thing when we were staying in Gatlinburg during the Jeep Rally a few weeks ago! Love the idea that Chevys' should get the same rewards! How about horses? (Get it? Horsepower?) Dodge should be sheep/Rams (of course).
