Take an alternative look around Clitheroe, at the centre of the United Kingdom. Rather than focusing just on the Castle, we look at some of the less obvious attractions around Clitheroe, like the rubbish dump with its family of peacocks and the incredible Ribble Valley Scooter Rally.
Local celebrities, beauty spots and well known characters appear throughout this short video which celebrates life in this idyllic place nestled away in an area of outstanding beauty.

Great video of my home town. Spent my youth there from 1967 to 1997 before moving to the Peak District for work. Did my YTS at the cement works back in 1983. I've had many a pint with Paul in the New Inn back in the day. Simon. He's a top bloke. Now another fact is that in December 1986 Ribble Valley Rail ( me being one of the founder members) was formed. Not a lot of people know that. Next time your in the Swan and Royal. Ask if you can go down stairs and see the old part of the pub before the road was raised
