Hi, what places are open for those going to puerto rico? My honeymoon is there at the beginning of August.

Yeah just wear a mask and quarantine yourself. Its a sad fact that the only people who are vacationing now a days are not the more reasonable and careful type, and is quite unfair and inconsiderate that all our efforts to stamp out covid are being undone by idiots that think that wearing a mask is some sort conspiracy.

@@brentmurphy578 other than San Juan, most of the other places are closed. If you're not going to be careful please don't come. I'd suggest you move your honeymoon anyways, as everything looks like it might not reopen for a while. But once all of this passes I recommend you visit Boquerón, it's a really nice place and you can stay in cabins near the beach, it's not open right now tho.

arkblazer1 we will be taking every precaution as we already do: masks and goggles to cover our eyes - along with a negative Covid test, which is needed to enter into the island.

Rose Garcia Puerto Rico is not an independent country yet, it’s still part of the United States. As US Citizens we have the constitutional right to travel within our country and Puerto Rico is unlawfully hindering that right.

@@Marklin15 You can travel all you want, but if you're going to come over here and not follow the rules, don't come at all. If you're not going to wear a mask in public, when it's mandatory, we don't want you here. Since we are a colony we can't choose if tourism reopens or not, the least you can do is respect the law here and wear a freaking mask when you're in public.

As US citizens you should respect the fact that PUERTO RICO is a colony with a weak heath care system that isn’t equipped to handle a huge outbreak. Please exercise your self righteousness and entitled in the states and not bring that mentality here. We have enough on our plate already.

It appears that they will have to quarantine where they will be staying. They will be required to fill out a form and random checks will be conducted to make sure they are quarantined otherwise they will receive heavy fines.

@Tom Chittum its not that bad. They can't afford to get a spike in Covid. They are limited on space and ways of living. They will be in real danger and INNOCENT ppl will die due to idiots just like here in the states are causing spreading. I agree with what they are doing and its pretty seamless. It'll eventually happento that extreme in the US. PR is only 33 to 100 miles across. They will be wiped out by any virus that will become deadly. I'm FROM there and my family. Sadly, chances are that they will not be open becasue according to the latest executive order businesses are not allowed to have large gatherings of people. You might want to call to make sure though.

You can stay in a location of you choosing, like a hotel, airbnb, or family home. If you arrived without a test they will require that you quarantine yourself where you are staying. You will then fill out a form and give them the address where you are staying and then they will conduct random checks. If you are not home during a check you will be fined.

James, those that have to go into quarantine for 14 days are required to fill out a form. Spot checks are supposed to be conducted and if they are not at the address when they come around they will be heavily fined. That's the latest info and can/will change at any moment.
