This semester, we are releasing a series of videos, produced from our dorms, apartments, and homes, celebrating our graduating seniors! Recorded, filmed, mixed, and edited all on our own, we hope you enjoy these as much you love seeing us live. We hope to safely see you all at our shows again soon, but until then make sure to watch along!
Our first of many senior sendoff videos goes to Dani Germain! Dani joined the group as a Freshman in the Fall of 2017, part of the first-ever newbie class of Note to Self. Over her eight whole semesters in the group, she served as Vice President, Assistant Music Director, and Choreographer, the latter of which she held for three years. She co-choreographed the set for our first-ever ICCAs appearance in 2020 and was the visionary behind the filming and choreography for our run to second-place at the ICCA 2021 Semifinals. For her role in the ICCA video, Dani was awarded Outstanding Choreography AND Outstanding Videography at the ICCA 2021 Central Quarterfinals. She was also well-known for her iconic solo on this very song, Welcome to the Black Parade, a Note to Self classic.
Between hosting potlucks, photographing group pictures, driving all around New York for tour, and switching between every voice part from Soprano 1 to Alto 2, Dani did everything to help our group sound as great and be as fun as possible. Her enthusiasm and friendly energy will be missed dearly next year. Dani graduated with a BS in Biology and minors in Biological Anthropology and Evolutionary Studies, and we're excited for another one of our alumni to use her intellect and passion to make a better world. Dani, we love you, we'll miss you, and we're so proud of you! We hope you all enjoy her performance of this absolute bop.
