Very true, my mother always said that if we did not like her answer, don’t ask her the question and if we don’t like her opinion on something, don’t bring it up to her. I totally agree and that is what I live by.

Good advice ......I've had a LOUSY April, and May is no sweetheart so far ....... expectations are why I feel so bad ...... I'm in a stressful job, and I have people above me and around me who are political hacks or unqualified hires by those hacks ....... I have been at my job since 2005, and am 5 years away from retirement ...... I could go but I wont ........ EXPECTATIONS of what SHOULD be and what is REALITY drives me nuts ....... believe me, I understand WHY people dont trust government, at ANY LEVEL !

I've known this mindset of "if your expectations are low you can't be disappointed" since MJ in some spider man movie brought that kind of thinking up. However, I always thought it was kinda depressing to expect the worst or not much because I find it awesome to be hyped for future events. "Anticipation is the greatest joy". But now that you transfered that thinking to how other people respond to things I say or do it really does make sense for me to drop the expectations. I'll try that one out, thank you!

Oof, that's a hard one! You're right, though. I comment frequently on KZfaq and X (Twitter). I'm always shocked when someone responds rudely to me, as my comments are typically benign. This is a *GREAT* idea, and I'm going to keep it in mind. If I do it the way you suggest, I probably won't need so many Tums! 🙄 😁
