In each episode, ‪@RahulReddy‬ and I will open 92 packs, 1 of each core set from the Pokemon TCG, choose 1 card to add to our collection from each pack, then build a deck and duel to see who comes out on top! Since it doesn't seem to be mentioned in the video (I checked only the very start and very end, so as to avoid spoiling the video for myself), this series was likely inspired by a very similar series of series which exists for the YuGiOh! TCG. Yo, I’ve used Untap for MTG quite a bit, it’s very quick to use if you learn the hotkeys. I think there’s a list of them in client somewhere, but the most important ones are: C - draw, 7C - draw 7 V - shuffle F - find D - discard E - end turn There are probably some Pokémon specific ones that I’m not aware of!

I'm only at the second turn of the match but FYI there is a much easier way to add damage via the left-click context menu on each card (select "Add Counter). This counter remains on the card and can be incremented by left clicking it and decremented by right clicking it for the rest of the game. You can also send any card to play face down from your hand to start (rather than having to count "3 2 1 go"

Thank you for the face-down tip! We just filmed episode 3 and I saw this beforehand so that'll be when that gets fixed.

The point at which it becomes hardleg plagiarism is if you speed up the intro /s but tbh, speedy intro is a lot more funny. A pirate's life is for me!

For the initial set up, you can play cards face down by clicking the option for it in the menu you get when you click on a card in your hand, or press the hotkey for it that I can't remember.

a couple of ruling questions are abilities poke powers and poke bodies all different things or does a shaymin ex get damaged by cursed stone in this? eratas of cards like rare candy, do we follow the wording of the card we draft or the latest itteration. and what is the deal with something like great ball and quick ball? fossils, do they all give up a prize card? or is it based on which era they are coming from? and is ex and EX the same thing here?

Pokemon Powers, Poke-Powers, Poke-Bodies, and Abilities are all being lumped together so that cards like Hex Maniac and the like that affect abilities but not the other three do end up still working for the 4 terms. We follow the wording on the card drafted, as seen with the original version of Great Ball that we both drafted. Fossils only yield prizes if the cards drafted say they do. ex and EX are not the same thing.

Rahul chooses with Pow, it wouldn't be useful but looking at the pack yeah it was probably the best choice. I've just gotta get my way into Reversal, Catcher, Lysandre, or Boss in later packs. Also I do NOT like Double Gust, just feels like inferior gusting since you have to also have a switch card or a free retreater to get back into your attacker.

@@chaoticmeatballtcg5825 The player who plays Pow chooses. The wording is complicated because of Pokémon's now obsolete doubles format. Rahul would choose the _defending Pokémon_ but since there's only one defending Pokémon (opponent's active), it automatically defaults to that one. If you're behind on prizes, you get to either move an energy from their active to the bench, or it's a free gust. Double Gust may not have been good early, but eventually you both will pull more switching cards and add them to decks which will make item-based gust extremely powerful and also counteract the downside of Double Gust.

Its a bit upsetting that there is no good game to play such Format, or something official... Ygo has so many options... Edo pro, dueling book... Master duel and here.... Its a bit iffy tbh I dont play pokemon but i like watching it... But here i dont get anything... Bc its too fast...

Well I appreciate you checking out the video! The game's at least simple enough that even if people end up playing fast it's rather easy to follow along, only 1 supporter, only 1 manual energy attachment, as many items as you want per turn, Stadiums work the way that the old field spell rules in YGO were where they go to the GY when another is activated, etc.
