Yeah. That's where they screwed up by losing all of the subtlety of the running joke. People who think Mac performing a jokeless 5 minute dance routine to make a social statement is somehow beautiful and powerful are idealogues, _not_ Sunny fans. People will argue the opposite, but they miss the point by defending it in the first place.

MrBahBZ You could only use a running joke for so long before it becomes tiresome. The whole cast has been experimenting more and more with the show in the later seasons because writing the same old gags gets boring. Would you rather see a fleshed out character with an arc or somebody stuck in the closet for five more seasons?
