The Wells Harbour Railway closed on the 19th September 2021 and the Engines got taken away from Wells in the November of that year!
Two of them ( Howard and The Duke ) moved to Lappa Valley Railway in Cornwall and Densil moved to a Railway in Watford!!
Holkam announced on their Website in October that they are thinking of a service that runs people up and down to the beach successfully!
And in February they had thought up what the service was going to be ( buses ) and where they were going to go!!
Their Aim was for the service to be running by June but they ended up opening on the 22nd July ( The day before we went )!
They have two buses running ( one Modern, electric one and one 71 year old diesel bus )!! They’re supposed to go every 20 minutes from each station ( the Town station is exactly where it was when the railway was there but the beach station is right outside the toilet block )
It is all sign posted so you can tell exactly where the stations are!
It runs from 10am to 6pm so very handy times for different people! The service is run by Holkam so all the staff there are from Holkam and are actually really friendly 😁! They have name badges on, which is good!
