Always carry a few plastic zip ties. If that shift linkage comes apart (as they sometimes do), they can get you home. Same w large rubber bands, although they tend to degrade and fall apart quick.

Don't take your helmet off. .... when your riding....😅😂

Mine stripped out before. It seem like you should change them out on a new bike....my second one still working after 8 years
