I have come to appreciate high quality items. anything that's made with care and built to last is important to me. Seems like most are vintage items, leftovers from another era. It's always nice to learn about new products that are made with attention to detail and Care by the manufacturer. Simple straight and true designs speak to me the most. Thanks for posting.

They make a solid boot, Ive owned the smokejumper and Semidress, both very good.

I purchased some viberg smoke jumpers , I sent in my feet measurements. They sent a pair of boots that were not a good fit . They were ridiculously oversized . Very well built but terrible fit. I have since bought a pair of job masters from Wesco . Same process, sent in my feet measurements. Wesco delivered a well built , perfect fitting boot , along with great customer service. I will only buy Wesco because of the product and experience I had with them .

If you have a relatively standard size foot, I’d go stock sizes all day, as there are a lot of things that can go wrong with a custom fit, from the measurement method, who’s working when your order arrives, etc. I won’t say how I learned this! Both good shops, though!

@@sbreslin41 I’ve seen a few of these vids where a boot is cut in half and examined . No question the boots for smoke jumpers and fire fighters are well built but they’re never going to see those conditions with me , they did make me feel like I was on stilts with the heel heights and internal structure , I wasn’t a fan of that . When I ordered online and live in Australia (costly return postage) I took a gamble .The Wesco is a well built , study product and light in comparison which I like . They’ll last me for years . I’m a fan also of traditional skills and manufacturing and like to see these businesses and skills survive .

I live in Spokane, home to Whites, Nicks, Franks, and JK Boots. If it matters to anyone Whites is now owned by a Japanese company I believe, Nicks owner lives in Seattle, Franks and JK both are small mom and pop stores started by former Nicks employees. I’m buying a pair of Franks, at least as good as quality as Nicks, a few bucks cheaper, and great personal service, JK is also equal quality in my opinion.

Used to be a big Whites fan, and they're still good, but for work boots I've bought from Nick's the last few times which is just on the other side of town from Whites. Never had a work boot from Viberg but I have bought dressier styles from them. Good stuff.

Speed and Marine- I should have mentioned Nicks! I have a fit kit from them and have considered buying a pair of their HotShots or Foresters. I know they are busy and hear they recently moved into a new place. How do you like them, and which model(s) do you have?

I have 2 pairs of the basic HotShots currently. I think I bought them about a year apart. They are busy, the last pair I ordered was about a 2 month wait. Well worth it, they are the best work boot I've owned so far. I also like that they store you fitment info, so I can just call up and reorder. White's did that once upon a time, but not sure they still do. I'm fairly hard on work boots, and so far the Nick's HotShots have held up better than I expected.

the dryer is cool... i use to get dry shoes more shoes for choose haha or shoe stretchers from cedar wood.

I have searched for Viberg work for years. Can’t find them. All that come up are six inch dress boots. Do you have a link to there work boots or have they diciontinued them Thanks

White’s Boots and Nick’s Boots are aimed at the Wildland Firefighting and Logger Communities both are in Washington State..👍 and those Vibergs U have in the Video are NOT their Workboot line it’s their Street Wear Line, The Viberg Work Boots are about $500 and I own and Love the Viberg Contractor 9” Boot, Great for any line of Work.. I Love My White’s Smoke Jumper too but the Vibergs are a Bit Better IMO..👌🏼

@@mitchellfoy1779 they are, that’s why I bought 3 pairs..🤷🏻‍♂️ and Spent $1800 on boots..😭🥲.. I had 2 pairs of 9” Contractors, one with Bump Toes and 1 regular and just the other day I got a Email they had a 10” Sierra in 10 EE and I bought that too…🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️😭🥲😂

Nicks makes a phenomenal boot. I thought wescos lacked arch support compared to Nicks. In times when working 24-36 hour shifts, I could be dog-tired and barely alive but when I strap on my Nicks, they do the walking for me. The balance and support is second to none.

Well Made Things I recently had a pair of Catapiller work boots and they fell apart in 5 months total garbage the cat boots were made in China, So I bought a pair of Dayton work boots and they are amazing very well made

Not quite sure on the converse conversion. I’m a Vans 10, wesco 9-9 1/2.

I'm glad you like your Wesco boots. I just bought a pair the stock Jobmasters like yours online in 11.5E. My only concern is that I am an 11.5EE, but I can't get that unless I spend a lot more money to get a custom made version. However, many reviews indicate the Jobmasters tend to fit a little wide. Is this your experience as well?

Good vid. Nice looking Wesco Jobmaster boots. Did you get your Wesco custom fitted to your foot? They look like they fit like a glove. I'm not familiar with Viberg but I like what I see. I own a pair of Nicks and a couple of pairs of White's boots and as I'm sure you're aware these are both excellent boots. I hope to pick up some Wesco Jobmaster boots in the next couple of years and look more into the Viberg line.

legalsolutions07 Well done! I've just filled out a fit sheet for some Nicks, and can't decide between the Hot Shots and Foresters! Both look great, and both will outlast me. The Wescos are a stock 10 from BakerBoot. Take Care

Herman- I went on day 3, and they had sold a lot of stock by then. I know that folks do line up early. The interesting thing about the sale is that the shoes get $100 cheaper each day, so you pay more for the best selection. Still a good deal on day 1, though.

Rolled up Jean bottoms. . I thought hipsters had an age limit, but apparently not. And Bakers is in Eugene. It's too bad you boot people don't actually visit where these boots are made. Although I'm shuddering at how you would pronounce Scappose. And yes, a shoe drier is a must. However they are $20, not $40. My kids used them for soccer boots while growing up.
