Not a single dry spot in this video. Love the comparison and contrasting of products. Soothing voice over. Nice sleeve. Thanks dude. Any update on these products? I think I'm getting the huberds shoe grease for my dad's red wing mock toes since he works outdoors in Florida weather. Would you reccomend that or the Obenaufs?

Patterning in the Shinki comes from the tanning process that includes a roughly 25-30% shrinkage (not from any stamping).

So nice. Yeah, I'd prefer a shorter length too... They look awesome. I considered the Urban Logger (Nicks), but I think it would just bee too heavy for me. Jobmasters seem like such a great all-around boot.

That is a gorgeous boot. I saw your video from 6 years ago in which you talk about the stock job master. That is an incredible boot. Your video convinced me to buy one. I was wondering if you could give me advice on sizing. I wear a 10D in Alden Indy boots (Trubalance Last). What is your size in the Indy vs Jobmaster? Thanks!
@thebreademperor8 ай бұрын
Also you should make another video on the current state of those old job masters. The patina must be out of this world.
@sbreslin418 ай бұрын
Not an exact comparison, but I’m a 9d in Alden Barrie, and went with a 9.5D in Jobmasters. Feels right. My brown Jobbers are gone, as they were a 10d and a little big.
@thebreademperor8 ай бұрын
Thank you, that's helpful. I'm a 10D in the Indy boot and I'll go with a 10.5D in the jobmaster. @@sbreslin41

The demand is higher than ever for boots like Whites, Nicks, and Russel Mockison . Demand isn’t the problem finding skilled employees and people willing to learn the craft is the problem . Whites and Nicks used to offer seemingly and endless amount of exotic leathers which they don’t offer anymore because so many people are ordering boots from them due to the internet . These companies ain’t going anywhere but the quality and option may go down and waiting times will increase and have because of the demand .

Huberd's, failing to waterproof and yet turn boots into greasy slimy floppy foot bags, for a hundred years. Sorry, just another hipster infatuated with a new fad, boot and shoe care, without having to venture outside and learn what really does and does not work. SnoSeal. Done.

I think it’s probably more a function of the Maryam Horsehide’s characteristics as a hide. Patina real early on, almost antiquing by the day.

first time watcher, great vid..... I am about to put a deposit on these, just need to figure the size out!! I am in Sydney Australia, as you can imagine trying to get the right size is my goal - I note that you got yours in a 9E, which according to S&S is the size I should go for, based on a 10 1/2 in foot length and 4 in width, although all my other US boots are 8.5D (Red Wing, Truman, Wolverine etc)..... I am curious as to what size you where in other US boots, and how the 9E in these compare from a fit perspective?

Awesome video and reviews. Thank you! The only issue I ever had was using pure lanolin. It definitely did soften the leather too much. Luckily that was a pair of pull on boots. If it had been lace up boots I think the eyelets or hooks would have pulled out.

Even if Snow Seal is applied to a warm boot, when the boot cools anywhere it flexes like in the instep it flakes and cracks in an unsightly manner. I prefer the Obenaufs LP.
