The west coast national park in South Africa is located just about an hour drive north of cape town. It is one of the best locations you can visit if you want to go bird watching. Over 750000 birds call this park their home in summer.
But also if you want to cool off in a less crowded area than cape town, the park offers a true paradise on earth. Azure blue waters and shallow sandy beaches offer a perfect place to cool off.

It was a great experience. At first we didn't want to go here, as it is not such a popular place. But for us it was a great experience. Such beautiful colors and all the birds... It is not comparable to a safari in one of the other national parks, but it is a great trip nontheless. Thank you for taking the time to watch our video.

There is so many such different landscapes in South Africa. These colorful flower fields were so beautiful, and the sandy beaches... Just marvelous. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch.

Lovely wildlife shots 😊 the colour in this video seemed so vivid loved the bright purple flowers and that close up shot of the caterpillar! The waves 🌊 were lovely crashing against the rocks. The camera you use is so good at capturing the small details 😊

This film reminds me of Conservation Florida : Conservation Florida is a statewide accredited land trust working to protect Florida's natural & agricultural landscapes for future generations. There are so many bird watchers with expensive cameras and lenses haha Mindfully and beautifully captured wildlife is appreciated. haha chicks are begging for food 1:25 For my curiosity, what are they? 4:57 very unique wowowow no kidding, are they real flamingos? 6:34 so cute 6:58 They are actually white-pink-ish??? I found them so entertaining, Especially the way they catch food 6:43 are they catching fish or bugs underwater??? I will have a video ready for Miami Zoo and the flamingos there are orange...so strange.. Well done. I bet you two enjoy making observation on wildlife all day long even though they are not highlighted in the film. Always their behavior fascinates me. Thank you very much for making my day

The chicks in the bird-hide were a nice bonus. We were so close and the parents were flying in and out all the time. I am not an expert on birds, but I believe this was a family of swallows. The large ones on the lake were flamingos. Two kinds of flamingos to be exact. As far as I know, they are catching little crabs which are also responsible to the color of the feathers. Watching any form of wildlife is indeed something magical. We enjoyed our time in the national parks a lot. It is so different compared to watching animals in a zoo. If you have a lion next to your open car window, just walking past, it is entirely different than the feeling to see one in a cage.
