from the pre season friendly it seemed that Lopetegui wants the team to always play out from the back, always press, and play 3 at the back with the 2 wing backs staying very wide. I think Aguerd, Mav, Tob, Kil with Zou as backup if all good. We really need a backup for Alvarez

My comment may be lost in the shuffle here but if he doesn't want to play for us then what's the point of meeting valuation? Find a player who DOES want to play for us. Doesn't matter if a quality player like this would cost £10m. If you have your heart set on somewhere else then don't bother coming.

I feel like if he doesn't want to come, then it's probably not great. However, he is a great player and if he can be professional if he comes, then it could be really good signing.

If he don’t want to come then walk away. I have no problem with him choosing Juve, great club but I do have a problem with us hanging around in case that deal falls through. He’s made his choice, move on.

West Ham have agreed a deal with Nice for defender Jean-Clair Todibo. The deal is a loan with a £26.8m (€32m) option to buy, although there is no agreement with the player yet.

This deal won't happen if he's interested in elsewhere

Aguerd, Todibo, Mavrapanos, Kilman with the outstanding Alvarez in front of them and Arreola in goal...I don't see to many opposition players looking forward to being confronted with that. And with one of the pacy, tricky and exciting left sided wingers West Ham are about to get to add to our decent first team players... that will make it very difficult for any team to walk all over West Ham which happened several times last season and definitely would have happened several more times if it wasn't for the brilliant in form Arreola. Hopefully Paqueta is back to his brilliant best then I see Paqueta, Kudus and Bowen having fun and terrorising the opposition.

If Todibo is 36 million euros, please find out the asking price for Andy Diouf from Lens. 6'2, left-footed, powerful, ball-winning, ball-carrying CM. Would be an outstanding partner for Alvarez. I don't expect a good season btw. I think 4-2-3-1 is a better setup for us and it looks like we are heading towards a 4-3-3.

I always have DEEP reservations about deals like this. I appreciate this sounds a bit naive but I only want players who REALLY wanna come to our club and in this case the player has his heart set on Juve. If they don't come in then he MAY well do us a favour and join us. Really don't fill me with hope if a player is joining us under those circumstances. Don't do us any favours mate. According to a number of sources he has all the attributes of Aguerd who we already have. Why not save that money and get Lopetegui to get the very best out of Aguerd thus seeing him fulfill the potential I believe he has. The Todibo money could then be spent on a centre forward that we are crying out for. In short let's sign players who REALLY wanna be here and not players for whom we are 2nd or 3rd choice or who are coming purely for the cash. PS I also wonder if our interest in Soule from Jive has cooled cos we would be putting money in their pocket to help finance their move for Todibo. IF that was the case then that would indicate that Lopetegui is happy to sacrifice Soule in favour of Todibo and that the club are backing that preference which bodes well. The only potential fly in the ointment is Leicester who, according to reports, have offered 22 mill for Soule plus 3 mill in add ons but Juve want a minimum of 25 mill straight cash with possible add ons on top. Worst case scenario is Leicester agree a deal, Juve use the cash to finance the Todibo deal and we miss out on two targets we wanted. Sometimes you can be too tricky for your own good. All hypothetical of course.
