Our 1/2 Westie brother/sister littermates are our domestic partners. When we adopted them we already had a bunny. They were all the same age. It was relatively easy to train them not to chase or otherwise threaten the bun. Whenever one would growl at him the loud, stern NO command did the trick. They can be trained to accept other species into their pack. They are so smart, loving and full of fun. They are such good little characters.

When the West Highland terrier was designed they were actually Red one day an owner of a red westie went out hunting and he thought he found a fox so you shot and you ran into it and he was heartbroken because it was not a fox it was his beloved dog so he buried his beloved pet and you went back to the drawing board of designing the westy all white and to have a bit of the spine go into the base of the tail so it can be pulled out by the tail

Westie's are the best! But not for the faint of heart..they are fierce lovers and loyalists but constantly want to be in charge so you can't be passive in establishing who is the alpha 😂😂. My baby challenged me for his whole 18 years and I would love another 18!! ❤️‍🩹🐕

A fence isn't enough to keep a Westie in. If they think there's something interesting on the other side of the fence, they'll find a way either around, under or through. I speak from experience with three different Westies.
