West Indies looks to continue building on their momentum of winning a Test Match in Australia for the first time in twenty-seven years when they come up against England in the first of three Test Matches starting next Wednesday at Lords.

I think Holder will be batting at 8 the bowlers will be Jason Holder A .joseph S.Joseph J.Seales T.Sinclair

Jason holder is needed, his experience in both departments and also his record in English conditions bowling is superb, he may have been poor in the last 2 years, but we need that extra batting prowess, so he will come in for A.Joseph or Motie…. Alzarri has been OK in last couple series and we need bowlers that can bowl good test match line and length and also move the ball rather than out and out pace bowler as we have one already in the squad in S. Joseph. For these reasons J.Holder is a must but I agree with the others…. Also it’s a good Toss up between Motie and Alzarri because both can be SOSO at times, it’s according to who have that X-factor in such conditions

I doubt that Motie will be selected for the first Test, but it depends on what the coaches see in the practices, the team might most likely be Holder for Greaves, Seales for Roach and Louis for Chanderpaul from the last Test in Australia.

You reported earlier that Shemar Joseph is injured. Why isn't Jason Holder (an all-rounder), a suitable replacement for him? The bowling lineup is filled with players who failed at the just concluded T20 World cup!!!

By no means I’m on Alzarri’s case but I think he tries too hard to bowl at high speeds and he gets it wrong and it messes with his Line and lengths most times resulting in less wickets and economy on the higher side. Moving forward maybe if he focus more on better line and lengths rather than speed, when he gets it right, then he can then regain his speed if it feels suitable to him or if he needs to!

Mr Brown your squad is spot on but kraigg brawaithe would not leave Jason holder out, Jason holder should not play is performance is poor over the last 2 years, plus he refuse to go to Australia, let be fair any other players did this wouldn't have been selected to tour to England ,my opinion

For the last twenty years, every Test Team played a spinner at Lords. Why should Motie not play? Holder selection cannot be justified by cricketing reasons.

If Holder is in the team it is not on proformance. Only because Roach is absent they can excuse his selection in the 1st 11

I love your squad, but there is no way Jason Holder will get dropped by one of his best friends. Kraigg Brathwaite is the main selector. He is not dropping someone he grew with. Kraigg Breathwaite, Kirk McKenzie, Mikyle Louis, Kevem Hodge, Alick Athanaze, Kevin Sinclair, Joshua Da Silva, Jason Holder, Shemar Joseph, Jayden Seales.
