Great video. I recently completed the hike to Westkill, but the summit was cloaked in a cloud. It's nice to see what the overlook is like on a clear day.

Hi Jake, Does the summit face west (for sunset photos)?

I believe it's east/southeast. If you go to google maps and search for "West Kill Mountain", then go to satellite view and drop the 3D view pin icon a few inches to the north east of the summit, you'll see the 3D view of this ledge that someone took. You can get a better idea that way, but pretty sure it's east/southeast. Also in my opinion this is the best view in The Catskills.

Thanks! There really is something about this trail. Most of it is on the end of "The Devil's Path". And the view is top 10 of The Catskills. Trail has so much character. It's short. Round trip could take less than 4 hours if you're really moving. But still, there is a section of trail that has some amazing ferns and moss. I love that section. The smells there are out of this world.
