Hudswell Clarke Works No. 1238 "Ashanti 9" visiting from Apedale Valley Light Railway, joined Hunslet Works No. 823 of 1903 on an intensive passenger service. Alongside the passenger service a was Drive a Diesel in the yard.
With its restoration nearing completion, W G Bagnall Works No. 1706 "Sbyil" was displayed on the turntable. The locomotive, like Irish Mail, worked at the Dinorwic slate quarries in North Wales.
