I like what Br. Shahid said. "So-called extremist muslims are the most Westernised muslims. They only became extremists because they view Islam in the same way that YOU view Islam." I live very far from the US, Europe and the Middle East and I rarely encounter muslims with an extremist mindset. I'm gonna use this talking point in the future against people complaining about extremism.

Being a Punching ball & call it "Sabr" is not the way. الأخذ بالأسباب is Islamic. قوله تعالى: إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُواْ مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ [الرعد:11] قوله تعالى: ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللّهَ لَمْ يَكُ مُغَيِّرًا نِّعْمَةً أَنْعَمَهَا عَلَى قَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُواْ مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ [الأنفال:53 " يُوشِكُ الْأُمَمُ أَنْ تَدَاعَى عَلَيْكُمْ كَمَا تَدَاعَى الْأَكَلَةُ إِلَى قَصْعَتِهَا فَقَالَ قَائِلٌ وَمِنْ قِلَّةٍ نَحْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ قَالَ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ كَثِيرٌ وَلَكِنَّكُمْ غُثَاءٌ كَغُثَاءِ السَّيْلِ وَلَيَنْزَعَنَّ اللَّهُ مِنْ صُدُورِ عَدُوِّكُمْ الْمَهَابَةَ مِنْكُمْ وَلَيَقْذِفَنَّ اللَّهُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ الْوَهْنَ فَقَالَ قَائِلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الْوَهْنُ قَالَ حُبُّ الدُّنْيَا وَكَرَاهِيَةُ الْمَوْتِ Prophet said: “The nations are about to come together to attack you just as the eaters claim their bowl.” Someone said, “We will be few in number that day.” He said, “Rather, you will be many on that day.” You are scum like the scum of a torrent, and God will remove from the breasts of your enemies the fear of you, and God will cast weakness into your hearts. Then someone said, O Messenger of God. What's weakness? He said, love of the world and hatred of death. " Rassul Allah said: "You would tread the same path as was trodden by those before you inch by inch and step by step so much so that if they had entered into the hole of the lizard, you would follow them in this also. We said: Allah's Messenger, do you mean Jews and Christians (by your words)" those before you"? He said: Who else (than those two religious groups)?" We Must assume & admit, it's our fault.
