Other notes: For the second Wednesday this past month, we went to the analog 4004 at the Westerville Fire Department. Before this, we attempted to record one of Piqua's 2001's and were originally gonna go to a siren in Paulding County afterwards, however, none of Piqua's sirens ever went off because the fire department apparently requested the county to not tone them out in the winter months. Not wanting to risk another failure, we decided to play it safe and go for a Franklin County test instead, and we went for this analog since Connor hadn't heard it in several years and I figured I might as well get a better video of it. Just as I had remembered from the last time I heard this in August 2022, it was pretty darn loud if you stand right by the fire station building (which is on a small incline from the pole). I'd say this one is probably a bit louder than an average analog; it's definitely up there with the dual tone one to our ears. It still wasn't quite as loud as the analogs at Woodcrest Elementary School or the Canal Winchester golf course however. We got 111.1 dBA, 114.1 dBA, and 117.3 dBC from this one when it faced us as we were standing by the fire station. Anyways, it was nice to hear this thing again, and I'm glad we were able to get better recordings of it on this gorgeous sunny day. Enjoy!
