WestJet 737 MAX 8 from build to delivery flight

On October 11, 2017, WestJet revealed our first Boeing 737 MAX aircraft at our hangar in Calgary, Alberta and then followed it with the first flight on a 737 MAX in Canada. Tail 301 (registration C-FRAX) was built at Boeing's facility in Renton, Washington. Here's a video showing the complete build from the first rivet, right up to the delivery flight.

Legend says that the guy lost his job, because he was not wiping *hard* enough, so then he was left unemployed for over a year, he was desperately seeking for a job so he could feed his 67 children, and his wife who was dying of cancer. He eventually found a job, but then quit because he was forced to work overtime at a local McDonalds. He was then forced to go homeless and lived under a bridge for the rest of this short life.

Get your facts str8, Bombardier sold that recreational division years ago. Still build the 3 best Business jets in the world, along with the best turbo prop aircraft, and C series is best in its class, ask any pilot or Airline currently flying them, you need to do your research.

It sure looks pretty with the green slime washed off. I would be tempted to leave the skin silver. The paint job does look awful nice, nor get moving to Calgary. I’m very pleased WestJet stayed with their neighbors at Boeing.

Yeah i wont be flying on one of those. They still only have 2 AOA sensors which means the computer still needs to figure out which one is correct in the event of a failure. Airbus uses 3 in its designs. The engineering problems remain and updated code won't fix it - this thing is going to kill more people. The FAA and it's rubber stamp are back in business.

Dabooom 12 it wasn’t going for a flight on that day. It was just being towed around in the beautiful sunshine for a drone video shoot. It was the first ever FAA-approved drone session at Renton Airport and we produced an entire video with all the best shots. Just in case you guys ever fly a 737 here’s the difference in the 800 and the max 8: the engines on the 800 are smooth on the back and the ones on the max are kinda ripplied, the winglets are also different

Another thing to look for is the height of the nose gear. The nose gear on the MAX is quite a bit longer than on the NG

I wonder why Boeing can’t seem to learn how to build airplanes beautiful like Airbus?* The A320neo is better, face facts. Bigger fuselage, more personal space AND a % more efficient. Plus Boeing wasted loads of time on the ‘faulty’ - Southwest has to ground some flights - 737 MAX, as the 797 is supposed to be their new single aisle jet. AND the A320neo hasn’t had a SINGLE problem.

+Dana Steele. Are you foolish? The 737 was originally designed in the 60's and launched in 1967. Basically the 737 Max is an old plane that was modernized, there is a limit to how far you can improve an originally design. Plus the 737 was never designed for people taller then 5ft 9, people were shorter in the 60's. If you think the 737 max is so great I challenge you to take an 8hr flight in economy with the 737 max on a US Air Carrier.

Why? Airbus threatened quantas with higher prices if they didn't buy their plane. I would rather do business with someone who doesn't threaten me. And also, 2 crashes out of tens of millions of successful flights seems like pretty good odds to me.

This is beautiful, i prefer 737 max over A320 family. I don’t know why, but the plane’s nose is kinda ugly and A319 is a chubby plane, short and kinda look fat.
