The last 10-15 min of this one are brutal. Opie and Anthony having a passive aggressive cough war that then leads into Jimmy subliminally describing the whole dynamic between O&A and Patrice. Which then leads to Patrice getting sentimental saying he’s gonna miss them and thanks O&A (or just Ant?) for everything they did for him. Its like listening to two parents who hate one another argue beside their son thats in a hospital bed slowly dying of a terminal illness. Oh and the family pug(jimmy) is humping a get well soon teddy bear

I’m 35 and going through that period that Patrice was talking about, feeling more emotional etc. wouldn’t trade my new sissy mode for being young again though, being young was 24/7 anxiety for me and trying to show off and one-up other guys. Now, I realIze I’m not better than anyone else and I’m fine with it. I have my place.

In retrospect, if Ant and Opie made some sort of content contract lasting today…. I think Patrice would have lived longer or still been around. If they just paid him $5,000 an appearance contingent on numbers, he’d have been safe and comfortable without traveling with diabetes and maybe with upper management seeing his potential as dollar signs $$, maybe they would had stepped in on his weight and health. I’m reading Patrice on O&A #138 and imagining just a little money for each appearance when that’s the only reason we’re listening now Could have put it on Compound media only and boom still making money

Or Patrice could of put his pride aside and done what other people do everyday at work and get along with other people. Now they have to throw a benefit for his mom every year. Not my job to pay for your ego. Maybe I'm as prejudice as you though because in my experience the only people who ever tried to talk me into doing some of their work was black women. I will give them credit for not using slavery as a lame excuse, but it was years ago.The last time I worked with anybody was during the OJ trial, where they didn't want me to work in their area. Fuck em.I became self employed and never had to deal with coworkers who spend more energy thinking of ways to not do their jobs than it would take to do THEIR jobs!
