Another great video. I’m using Westone form fit three driver IEMs with ambience filters for mute, -24db and -15db filters as needed. I still prefer stereo wedges but appreciate the flexibility and control IEMS deliver upon for FOH mixing. The bass of the IEMs is best when their shoved in completely and seated firmly in the ear canal. But even then the bass needs help and I’m still trying to get them dialed in for it. IEMs offer hearing protection and I’m not a fan of loud mixes even though Leslie patches have a genuine need for an open throated volume 🎹 Guitars in our band often runaway with volume though and it drives me crazy. They’re neither interested in IEMs nor interested in using the XR18. They prefer analog mixing, horrendous and incessant feedback, and nightmare sound checks that never work. I know it’s going to be a very long night when after our opening song I see three musicians with confused looks all turning knobs and moving faders at the same time on a cheap analog mixer. And no I’m not joking… 🤣
