I use Philippine time but sometimes it gets screwy if I record it during a 2 hour period prior to midnight in PH. I apologize.

Tbh, 0 to 1 TS for WPAC in June is normal if El Nino to La Nina transtition but the first storm of June tends to form in Late June. It can form near the Philippines.

its odd that june-sept is considered typhoon season in the philippines but since i have been here(2010) it seems the bad ones hit november and december and january. the rest seem smaller less organized or turn north before really hitting the philippines.

June to August is the rainy season but is more well known for monsoon rains, September and October are the months known for typhoons because June to August storms usually recurve north. November is already considered late season but storms here usually strike south so they tend to hit less prepared, more populated areas (the east coast of Luzon is among the least populated areas in the Philippines because of the frequency and intensity of storms hitting there).
