I'm new for this oracal 651 vinyl. but while watching your video that it can do wet application, I have the courage to DIY for my truck. Thanks

Does the wet method not dilute the adhesive on the decal?

I believe this wet method also applicable on car hood. Or have you tried trying to "create glass" first before squeegee?

Thank you! I have a big job/project, to make eight vehicle magnetic signs. The decal is two color, and the customer wants vinyl that is close to the vehicle color to be applied to the magnetic material "first", then apply the two color decal. Talk about scary! If I understand your demo, I can wet everything along the way to get it done! My biggest worry was putting the vinyl on the magnetic material without botching it. It is all 651 vinyl.

Exactly the reason I looked this up! I just did a 14 x 30 decal & needed to layer it and obviously it was a huge mess up w/tons of air bubbles. Wet is the way to go!

The wet method saved the day for me. I’ve used it on plastic mugs too.

Would this method work well for car hood decals? Air bubbles seem to be an issue with 651. What paper transfer tape do you recommend?
@SpeedyVinyl7 ай бұрын
Yes, it could work on any smooth solid surface. Check out our paper transfer tape: www.speedyvinylshop.com/collections/accessories/products/grid-paper-medium-tack-transfer-tape-12x30-roll

When you put these logos onto cars do you need to keep them dry for 24-48hrs after sticking them even if you do wet application?
@SpeedyVinyl Жыл бұрын
To adhere completely, it will need to dry completely and allowed to cure for the 24-48 hours.

Hey got a question how would i apply oracal 651 on outside canopy of a store front?
@SpeedyVinyl3 жыл бұрын
You could still wet apply it. It would help if you could take it down so there as a flat surface underneath to help the application
