I just learnt my lesson on the Extra tacky "Bug"transfer tape!! I thought it would be great for transferring the design from the vinyl roll. Nope...took a bit to get it to pick up the design...BUT Im having heck of a time peeling it off the design after I applied it. Wish I bought the clear transfer tape. I could have simply left it on and still be able to see the design. Any tips or techniques in peeling the tape away from my logo without lifting the design? Or should I just start fresh? P.S. Any issue with using your transfer tape on larger vinyl graphics using the wet method install? Want to make sure if it gets wet it won't fall apart like the wax paper the graphic is currently installed on.

I'm having huge issues with MT80 application tape from Oracal, when I'm reverse weeding a very small and intricate design, the tape is not strong enough to hold and small text or design to it. Any suggestion? I know you don't recommend a stronger grip, but I'm thinking that what I have to try. TIA

Hey! When you're gonna put a big piece of vinyl on a car, can you use a water/soap mix to spray on to make it easier to get the air bubbles out? Or will it not stick then?

So here is where I am confused. So, I have an epson eco tank converted for sublimation. I also got a the Canon TS9521C printer so that I could make stickers. I have a starcraft solo1 cutter. My question is, I am looking at the roland bn 20a for stickers too. What is difference between that regular inkjet to print stickers vs the eco solvent that the roland uses. Is the vinyl the same? I mean is it still the same printable vinyl? I have been looking for and got some printable vinyl for inkjets. Is it different than rolands? I assume it is better quality? And what would be the best sticker vinyl you would recommend for my printer? Also, it sounds like doing the htv print is better option than sublimation. Sorry for the questions.

How would you layer a skull using three different colors for a decal sticker?

When I first made some stickers up I only had painters tape, and it worked wonders, especially as its size was ideal for the bumper sticker size. I was hoping to hear this that paper does work well as I hoped to minimize plastic use and be as sustainable as possible. Thank you for the video!

I agree - I used the ‘bug’ brand high track vinyl a few years ago and I couldn’t get my vinyl decals off it. I’m personally not a fan of paper transfer tape (someone else’s brand-not yours).. because I can’t see the design edges when placing it onto the surface. I had thought about gridded tape but my designs are never placed on the tape ‘level’ - so the grid lines don’t help me. I love clear transfer tape - that’s my favourite - it’s all about personal preference and the type of work that we do, but videos like this are so informative - it’s so confusing when first starting out x
