They are charming in a coy way, i am guessing not everyone is an extrovert but I like them. Also quite a few interviewers ask dumb questions, not particularly in this case but in others.

If Rhiann were invited without Hester, it would be a normal interview. But Wet Leg is the mix of them both, which I suppose is part of the attraction.

The interviewer sucks, but acting like 13-year-old girls the entire interview was hip.

I'm usually pretty critical of interviewers, but I think this guy was just the victim of circumstances. They'd just got off the stage and were probably on an endorphin high, and just amplified by being home after a ton of touring. It's kinda like he gatecrashed their sleepover!

I felt like they were laughing at the 15k viewers, probably more now, I get refusing to interview but if you agree to do so surely there is a verbal agreement that you will answer some questions intelligibly if not intelligently or truthfully.

Id have to say I enjoy their album a lot more than the other two you mention :-)

You have some good points, but we diverge on others. I'm a massive fan of Queen and Nirvana. Rating albums on release, even by Rolling Stone is always an exercise in vanity, but I get it, and I read those reviews myself sometimes. The standard of music is a very sticky concept. Who's to set the standard - the listeners?(they have no qualifications), the critics? (they are often completely wrong), the record companies (they only care about profits)? I'm a huge fan of Wet Leg, but I also adore Oscar Peterson, Mozart, Questlove and the Beatles. Music is here today, and it will be here tomorrow, good or bad, and it's been that way for thousands of years. I can't see any one group breaking music completely, but even if they did you can bet that someone else will revive it and it will be like nothing you ever expected.
