I always go for a wired solution but sometimes you need to extend those boundries and go wireless. I unbox this camera showing everything which is included. The quality of the camera feels like metal and has a nice weight. I try to setup the camera using the Camhi app, but run into issues with the wireless network solution. Using Internet Explorer, I am able to login to the camera via it’s IP address on my network and find the connect to my Ubiquiti Access Points. I then install the camera outside my home to view the front door, garage doors and driveway. The quality of the image is good but the focus is a little slow. I then test it out at night and again, good image quality. I move the camera to the back and show the extent of the IR lights. They reached 300ft. I show how the Camhi app is not enjoyable to work with but the camera itself has some good qualities.

Very nice review. Looks like a good camera. But my Trend Micro antivirus blocked the site from which I could download the Windows software. (The one I found on your site)

Why would the camera get damaged by using extension cord from the power supply?

Good question... maybe the manufacturer has issues with it providing constant power. It does seems odd and an inconvenience.

@@HomeTechDIY Apparently it is just a safety issue I have an over 200 foot extension cable on mine that had to be buried and I've had no issues. But when I tried to run an extension cord across my property and then plugged the adapter into it I wound up having the power adapter and extension cord stolen more than once.. My recommendation because I have done so since I purchased mine is to get a different camera such as an sv3c if your ptz cam requires you to use an extension cord to power it instead of being able to use an extension cable ran from inside your home from a dedicated power outlet inside your breaker control box it is more than likely cheap made..

I have this same setup but called ALPTOP. Focus goes out of whack often and video is very choppy.

How long is the power adaptor cord? Can i buy extension or no!

It's only about 8 feet. Yes, in this video I use an extension.

Good day. Pls in what environment and situations are wifi and wired PTZ cameras more suitable?

For WIFI, open are is the best environment without physical obstructions or other WIFI interference, like WIFI traffic of the same frequency or microwaves or Bluetooth even. For open PTZ cameras (without a transparent cover), dry warm climates would work best. They don't like dust, heavy rain, freezing rain or snow packed into them. Installing them near salt water could also impact their lifespan. Hope this helps.

just bought a SV3C PTZ wireless but will use Ethernet and run on my computer only for now running windows 10 and can't find internet explorer to install, can Firefox do as well? sure could us some advice on what app to use, have put hiP2P zipped, put it on C by accident and can't remove it. put it on a thumb drive instead waiting for me to hook up my camera, but not going to use WIFI at all, using the box but have it turned off, you may not get this, thanks

Internet Explorer is no longer supported by Microsoft. If you have chrome, you can install this plugin to simulate IE: www.vueville.com/home-security/cctv/how-to-fix-hikvision-live-view-not-working-in-your-browser/

Just click "Start" and type Internet - the old IE should be on the list.

Have you had an issues with the automatic recording to microsd card triggered by motion not working? Its why I bought it, but even though all settings are set to automatically record and save video whenever a humanoid form and motion triggers the camera to do so, its not saving any at all. It does trigger the camera notifications saying such humanoid movements have been noticed, but only triggers a popup notication on phone but doesnt automatically save such recordings to microsd card as i selected it to. And the contact email given in their product amazon listing isnt even a valid email address and no one has replied when i asked in amazon.

@@harmoniousembodiment7203 I have not tried setting up a 2nd one. If you are having issues, there might be IP address conflicts. That's the only issue I can think of, off the top of my head.

ActiveX ... correct me if I am wrong but Microsoft has discontinued support for ActiveX. Personally I am not about to spend $300 on a rebranded camera from an unknown vendor without a real brick and motor address.
