You wanna know why Power Bounce is giving you trouble? The fourth jump in the sequence is FRAME PERFECT. You have ONE frame to hit it, then it goes back to 5 frames and decreases from there. The full sequence is 7, 7, 6, 1, 5, 4, 3, 2, then 1 for the rest.

Just letting you know speedrunners have found that Multibounce has a 1 frame window on the 5th bounce, which is why it’s so difficult to get more than 4 hits. Even weirder the window actually gets bigger AFTER the 5th hit, it’s just that one hit is a 1 frame window, so it may just be a mistake, or a skill check idk

One of the coolest parts of chapter 3 is you now have the option of Exhibition Match, which lets you re-fight all the enemies below your rank, which includes the Swooper enemies that replace King K. I decided to test it out on them and got a lot more star points than fighting anyone else in the ring. (That's also the only time I've tried exhibition, as I want to go back once I've gotten the Ultra gear)

4:57 No, it definitely feels like the timing was changed ever-so-slightly from the first game. I don't know how to explain it, but it feels like the timing is one frame shorter after the first bounce up to the 4th, then it resets and loops again.

The frame windows for Power Bounce are VERY interesting... After some testing, they go like this. 7, 7, 6, 1(!!!), 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Simplifier doesn't increase the 1 frame window for the fourth hit. It's ALWAYS 1 frame.

One strategy I like using is stalling and spamming Charge/Charge P. Then after enough buildup, end it in one nuclear blast. Also, that remark about Power Lift? Believe it or not, they made it MORE OP! 😂

Minor spoiler for a new optional boss: After chapter 5 you can actually fight Prince Mush now. He is very similar to the Master from Paper Mario 64. If you tattle him, Gombella straight up tells you to rely on superguards. As far as I can tell, you need to superguards him at least once to win.

Yea superguarding is basically required, because it lowers his defense for a little while, otherwise you have to deal with 6 defense for the rest of the fight

-- SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE FIGHT -- Basically, he has 2 stances where he's invincible and you need to use superguards to do any damage, and 1 where he has the full 6 defense, alongside a move that pretty much 1 shots you if you don't superguard it. I beat him by spamming piercing blow and rally wink whenever I could attack him, and using power shell when he clones.

I wanted to replicate that during my playthrough of Princess Peach: Showtime actually. Y’know that one part of the Ninja stage where the enemy just doesn’t notice you about to strike him down, because he’s still watching the grass? It was inside the castle, top floor. Going into the remake, I was exceptionally happy they took a page out of Origami King and gave every chapter after Chapter 1 a unique spin on the classic TTYD Battle Theme. The battle theme when you’re in the Glitz Pit goes HARD. This is like, one of the most perfect remakes ever and I’m having the biggest smile on my face when I’m playing it

One thing I will say is I really don’t like how… dull? The crystal stars look in combat. But in a remake nothing can be perfect. Seeing the great tree and the other zones brought back so many memories! I honestly love how unique the worlds in TTYD is. It’s so good. especially the Glitz Pit

To give a bit of info on the ttyd remake for the bingo after some practice that has worked for me 100% of the time is if you count the image that matches the bingo up to 5 times you can get the bingo every single time. Loving this episode so much and you have the same reactions to the music as I have. It's so GOOD!!!!!!!

I never knew marios stage name in eng xd, caught me a bit off guard. In the german version his stage name is Bomba Luigi^^ Its so nice to see that game again, hope it sells well so nintendo sees that classic turn based combat is the way to go with paper mario.
