During our holiday in February 2020 we stayed for two nights in San Antonio whale camp at the San Ignacio lagoon in Baja california, Mexico. We had amazing encounters with a mother whale and her two weeks old baby. They kept swimming next to our boat and were searching for interaction with us. They came closer and closer to the boat and at some point we even could touch them! They were very playful and totally at ease. The tours are done with a lot of respect for the whales. The whale chooses if she wants to interact with you. And how lucky we were..This was an experience we will cherish for the rest of our lives!
