Man, you just blew my fastest 15 heat run by a solid 30s with Hera. Hats off to you man. That run was like 16:00, maybe 16:01. That was nice to watch.

I got pretty stuck into this for 3 months. I'd set aside an hour a night to blast through. Took me just over 3 weeks to beat hades bur after that it was mostly plain sailing. Such enjoyment and a perfect balance of difficulty and variety. Voice acting in this in my opinion is the greatest I've encountered in any game. Very excited for the sequel. Fingers crossed it holds up.

Imho it would ruin the ambiance, there's enough fourth wall breaking in Hades as is. Heretic's Fork lets you change music but the premise of that game is that you're operating a computer program which allows you to interact with Hell remotely. So the playlist function is integrated seamlessly as part of the desktop (main menu). Read your comment a second time. I'm curious what impact you think a player's ability to change the music would have for speedrunning in Hades 2?

I just picked it up on the steam sale. I have no idea why it took me so long. After about 20 hours I’ve beat the “main” part of the story. Just wow, I didn’t expect it to be so good!! Still gotta grind some more though :)

So different than my experience. I’ve been very underwhelmed by the game and can’t wrap my head around all the craze. Had the same experience with Dead Cells. I started with Spelunky and Spelunky 2 which I love love love. Amazing games. I figured I’d try some other roguelikes, and just don’t enjoy them. I’ll stick with Spelunky 2 I guess.

The bone Hydra is pretty difficult when you're first starting out, the rest just doesn't feel as difficult if you ask me. Though, I am terrible at the game so I might be wrong

Thanks for the great tuto ! Here is a question : What is the benefice of using Dad Call with only one charge ? I think the dps-bonus comes only with the full call. And another : Would Blown Kiss be a good alternative to Sweet Surrender at 16:23 ? Or is it overkill, maybe if you already one-shot the trash-mobs ?

For the half charge, your next hit deals more damage. Blow Kiss wouldn't really help for something like the boss fights and can be janky: can cause your casts to get stuck in walls because it extends the hit box.

Although risky, I'm kinda surprised you don't spend some rolls on the wells to just get maximum chaos doors for pure speed.

There's a lot to go for already when it comes to rolls, that might be a strat depending on how low you need your time to be eventually. Because this was a no-reset run, doesn't make sense to take that risk imo.

I've been trying to get sub 10 (in game timer) with Hera, but I really can't manage to get even close. During Lernie fight, you mention it's not at all about execution, but I feel like I'm messing up my casts a LOT, missing them and sending them away so it takes a long time to collect them. So assuming I'm making all the right choices, I was wondering if you have any tips on the execution? Specifically for Hera bow I guess.

Hmm do you use a controller with the auto aim turned on? It does most of the work for me honestly. I don't normally say that controller is better than KBM but this is one for the rare instances where it kinda matters because hitting enemies consistently with the mouse is tough.
