Thank you. People often hate Robby for what he did, and while what he did was wrong, he wasn’t unprovoked. Still, that isn’t an excuse for his actions. Shane, you’re 100% correct, it was adrenaline and all this anger Robby had essentially held inside, plus telling Robby that Sam didn’t love him, and that the moves he was using was taught by Johnny probably didn’t help either. Robby was honorable and tried to stop the fight up until Miguel pinned him down, than Miguel did the honorable thing and showed mercy, while Robby did the dishonorable thing and kicked him over the railing.

The transition from the song when school starts before the fight being a pop version Cruel Summer to the end of the episode being a sadder version of that song is details and storytelling like that being why I love the show.

The confrontation between Daniel and Johnny early in the episode is perfectly written. They're both trying to be honest, but they're reacting to their own feelings instead of thinking about the facts of the situation. In real life, that's totally gonna land both of them in some stuff. And wow, the fight choreography in the big scene. Could not have been done better. Music, acting, writing, camera, all of it.

Johnny's kid was inside too though. That's kind of the problem is that both of them have legitimate concerns that needed to be discussed and Johnny was the one trying to de-escalate. Daniel would be worried that there's daterape going on in there or something. And Johnny thinks Daniel could come in and just start wailing on his kid. The audience doesn't consider that because we're the only ones who know for certain that he's never hit a kid. and that part where Tory threatens Sam over the mic is funny because I remember in highschool if that ever happened it would have been followed by "This is the principal: lockdown. lockdown. lockdown"

I love Daniel, but his behavior at the start of the episode was just wrong in so many ways; mostly, he literally had Johnny's kid living at his house without telling Johnny. Compared to that, this was minor. All Robby did was give Sam a safe ride from the party. She was entirely in the wrong for not letting him take her home, but he was just trying to help her. Then, Robby was in the wrong for not calling Daniel. It's not that they made the right choices, but the choices Daniel made were just very disappointing.

Yall have to watch the second movie before y'all move on to the third season

Don't dismiss Amanda's opinion. She is the sane character in this series, and I am a guy. She ma not be right all the time, but it is because she has incomplete information.

First off, let me just say I love both Robby AND Miguel. But I feel that Robby's character barely ever gets an understanding of his side of things and just always wants to paint him the bad guy. Even when Miguel has done some pretty messed up stuff himself. Or how most of Robby's life he always felt he came 2nd with his mom sleeping around/addiction, Johnny has failed him from the day he was born and mostly left him abandoned and now all of a sudden he's being more of a dad to Miguel who's not his son and has a really close relationship with him and now with Sam he feels 2nd again to Miguel. A lot of peoples comments when it comes to this episode they always say, "Miguel giving Robby mercy." Why would Robby trust Miguel giving him mercy when the last time they fought, Robby extended mercy/respect, and Miguel used it for his advantage to hurt him more in that tournament by yanking down his injured shoulder in-between rounds. If it wasn't for Miguel playing dirty during the match, Robby could have won. The sad thing is Robby was using ONLY ONE arm and almost won against Miguel. The Miguel stans always bring up that he stopped and said, "Sorry." Ummm, like, did Y'all not see that Robby was the one that tried to protect Sam by holding off Tory and clearly said to the girls that "we can figure a way to work this out", and then Miguel came in and attacked him, which escalated the school fight. Then, through that WHOLE fight, Miguel kept throwing digs at Robby about his relationship with Johnny and then with Sam. Miguel kept instigating Robby throughout that fight, which only fueled his anger and adrenaline, and then out of nowhere when Miguel already got Robby wiled up at the last quick second, Miguel decided to be sorry... I bet you because of the amount of adrenaline that was running through Robby and the tunnel vision, he didn't hear the "I'm sorry." You could see as SOON Robby realized that he kicked Miguel over the railing he didn't mean for that part to happen by the look on his face.

Ralph Macchio didn't like what Daniel said at 3:32. He thought it was out of character of Daniel (haven't read/heard the interview, only read it mentioned in forums). What Robby says at 4:50, though, he still thinks highly of Mr LaRusso and (***SPlOTERS***)... I'm gutted the writers split this teacher and student pairing up :( But I suppose, from a drama side of things, between the two of the adult/kid pairings, it would be Daniel and Robby to split as Johnny and Miguel have had more screen time and viewers love this pairing more (from what I read in forums).

That's why Sam should've went to her Dad instead of going to Johnny's house which would cause Daniel to knock down Johnny's door and them starting fights. Daniel didn't know the story, but still his daughter should've went to him and faced the consequences of her actions. This would've never happened if she made better choices. Also I think Miguel meant to say Tory loves him to Robby

I know that Miguel & Sam both cheated on Robby & Tory but Tory started the school fight and trying to kill Sam was not right at all, but then again Sam & Tory didn’t like each other and this is a karate show so you already know that school fight would happen regardless, Robby had tunnel vision and he got so angry that he didn’t know where they were, he didn’t mean to kill Miguel over the railing, he lost control and he went berserk on Miguel after he showed mercy to him. Everybody is at fault here, Hawk getting everybody involved in the fight, when it could have been stopped immediately, but the one about Miguel & Robby’s rivalry is based on bad timings and misunderstandings and the same thing for Hawk & Robby but they simply hate each other.

If I were Daniel and had to chose between the wife and "No More Karate" I would divorce the un-supportive wife and marry Kumiko (from Karate Kid 2) the girl he should of married originally and continue with Karate happily ever after. LOL
