The song is about Australia which is often referred to as "Down Under." I lived there for a year. It's a beautiful country. Overkill and Who Can It Be Now are also great songs by Men at Work.

Australia's unofficial National Anthem. I remember when Men at Work won the Best New Artist Grammy in 1983. Colin Hay, the lead singer, was interviewed and he told the reporter that he and his band mates were gonna go to the local pub and get something to "spike ourselves up." Hehe...

I've seen this video dozens of times and this was the first time I noticed at 1:38 when the guy is playing the flute on the branch they had a stuffed toy kola on a string hanging by him. Great song, love the 80's music always seems upbeat and fun.

I come from a land downunder. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺 I was a kid when this came out and loved it. 40 years later still one of my favourite songs You should react to more Aussie music

I think you might enjoy. Wiyathui by Geoffrey Gurrumal. Lanterns by Birds Of Tokyo. Bow River by Cold Chisel. Rush You by Baby Animals Zero Gravity by Kate Miller Heike. Kate preformed this at the 2019 Eurovision song contest. Thats just to name a few of my favourite Aussie artists
