I caught Ren a year ago and this guy's story passion ability has turned a 55 yr old man into a 15 yr pld fangirl 🤣 I can't stop listening, he's a frikking genius he is definitely one of the real ones, enjoy this rabbit hole it's deep and soooooo damn good, fire reaction to, enjoy

That last bit, he built a lot of visual tension with the deliberate pace, and then used the flagrant lack of gun safety and trigger control to add to our unease, so you knew viscerally where the story was going and all you can do is subconsciously try to will it not to. Excellent use of tension and pacing. Alfred Hitchcock would be proud I think.

It's amazing how much of this performance actually has little or no music at all. Absolute brilliance and a very important message. He's dropped a few amazing retakes recently. Back on 74/Message in a Bottle and Half Time are incredible.

As far as a live video and the cinematography and all the little details this is his best and absolutely amazing song (all though it's more of a short stage type play). Ren IS the modern day Shakespeare

Such a lovely reaction, Aileen, you're right, you are always immersed in a Ren story song! It's a masterpiece, in this modern age of short Tik Tok attention spans, Ren is bucking the trend with these bard core songs. But as we know, he's playing in so many lanes and comfortable in all of them. Right now, between albums, he' having fun with some retakes of his favourite artists, those that have influenced him, they are superb. I hear he has a couple of new Chinchilla collabs dropping real soon. An absolute treasure!

Loved seeing this through your eyes. One of Ren's last drops Back on 74 /Message in a Bottle Retake is a different side of Ren that you haven't seen yet. Smooth vocals with great range and put together masterfully. As a musician yourself you would appreciate it.

Aileen, I love how much you feel and convey the emotion you have when watching this. This is his masterpiece. He put a ton of effort into this one. It was his most ambitious undertaking to date, and what he created is pure art that will live on for many years to come. Ren isn’t a singer, a rapper, a multi-instrumentalist, an actor, or even someone who care so deeply about the world, he is all of these and so much more. He is a one in a generation talent and we are just so lucky to be able to experience his art as it’s happening.

Welcome back to the Ren rabbit hole! ❤ This masterpiece is just mind blowing. After the premiere I just sat there in shock for a while and the only coherent thought I could muster was that if Netflix doesn’t give this man his own show, they’re fools 😂 I would love to see your reaction to one of my personal favourites: Crutch feat. Bibi. It’s an older song from before Ren was finally correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease and was written after a breakdown following multiple emergency trips to the hospital. It is heart wrenching and stunning. Anything you pick will be great in its own way though so just keep going down the rabbit hole 🐰🕳️

Good to see you back on the KZfaq, Aileen! Yeah, I agree with everything you said about Ren, from the theatricality and the storytelling to feeling lucky to be around to witness Ren's talent. It does feel like a privilege to exist at the same time as certain artists like Ren, Dimash, etc. When people are so good at their art and craft, it transcends the usual experience of engaging with media. I've heard songs from plenty of other artists that are only 3 minutes long yet feel like they drag, and I find myself bailing out early because I just can't be bothered to keep listening. Ren, on the other hand, has this magical ability to put out 9 or 10 minute songs that feel like they're over way too quickly. You look up halfway through (as you did here), realize 4 1/2 minutes have already passed, and are surprised because it doesn't even seem possible. He just pulls you into the story so deeply, time just melts away. Dude is just on another level. Anyway, great reaction, as always! Always take breaks when you need them - KZfaq burnout is a real thing and, even without it, life just sometimes needs to be the priority - but it's good to see you back at it and get to share some music time with you.

Money Game 2 is my favorite lyrically but 3 is akin to his "Tales" trilogy and it's on par, performance wise, with "Hi Ren". Ren wrote ALL of the music for 3, including the orchestral parts. He said he practiced quite a bit to get the piano intro right. He also said that this isn't precisely a one take, it has a single cut in it, but it had to due to some logistical and time constraints. He explained it all in his Twitch live stream after the video dropped.

Yes. You were missed. I could see how this affected you. This is why we watch reactions because we can never watch a Ren video or music video or performance we haven’t seen before for the first first time again. And Ren’s music, lyrics, and bars pour and blend into his performances, sound mixing, and editing to create his powerful or amazing, or just plain good music, his art. Ren is my Svengali, and I guess it is the same for most RENegades. He saves us from ourselves, teaches us to think, makes us laugh, cry, smile.. .. and get REALLY excited to discover new material in the RENiverse. He can turn a 6' 4" MMA man into a little fan girl (metaphorically speaking). I really hope he can change the world for the better

Watched multiple Ren videos liked every song.Not sure I've seen the first two parts of Money game. Though it's probably a similar theme about life priorities, influences from society and family. The expectations they have or want from you or think they have of you, how it affects a person. A person's self understanding needing a change, not getting to a point of being lost.
