Thank you for your reaction to Taka. I am glad that you found One OK Rock because the whole band is amazing. Many people are discovering them now but they have been around since 2005. And as has been said he is a very versatile singer and very emotional when he sings. The Netflix documentary Flip a Coin highlights how essential he is to the success of the band. Almost all of the music and lyrics are written by him and they usually convey a positive message. For a guy whose first language is not English, he has written some very beautiful lyrics.

I think higher register is Taka's comfortable key. If you will watch their concert perf. videos, you will notice that he is not struggling in high notes. OOR also have some rock ballad songs that have some high notes in it and he ain't really having a hard time hitting those notes. He can even hold those notes for too long. Like their perf. of Clock Strikes on EOTS concert, he hold the notes for like 30 seconds. Plus I also noticed that he is much more struggling in lower notes than higher one, esp. when Taka performed with Linkin Park for Chester's commemoration, he sang Somewhere I belong and I think it is quite low for him that is why he is really struggling but when he did the high notes in the last part it was flawless. I hope you could react even just one songs of their rock ballad songs like WHEREVER YOU ARE, PIERCE, GOOD GOODBYE, BE THE LIGHT.

You’ve only just scratched the surface of their music. Their music extends through multiple genres.. and they’re really good in all of them. For ballads I can suggest Wherever You Are, Heartache, & Good Goodbye to name a few.. For heavier rock songs there’s The Beginning, Cry Out, & Renegades. Just know that their live performances are almost always better, with a few exceptions . Enjoy your journey 🎶🎶
