Hey! Just wanted to let you both know this series has been a daily highlight for me. I love games like this and I love a thorough playthrough, and if you started a new run, I would happily watch it start to end. I know the vast majority of people on KZfaq prefer other type of content, shorter, more chaotic videos, but there are people like me who get so giddy when we find someone who caters to our preferences. You both did a phenomenonal job and I want to thank you for it!

To answer the Withers question for the ending: He is Jergal. The scribe god whose tomb you find him inside of, although if you have no knowledge of Forgotten Realms lore, that name will mean nothing to you. To cut it super super short, he is the one who gave the Dead Three their powers and turned them into gods. So basically, the ending is just him stripping them of their status.

1:22:30 - I totally agree, I get the fact that for gameplay purposes you are limited to 4 throughout the game. But for this epic showdown every living companion able to fight should be there, not sat at camp when the world is about to end...

Also: Withers is Jergal, the original god of Death, Tyranny, Strife, Murder, etc. Who got bored and gave it up to a party of a adventurers who became the gods Bhaal, Bane and Myrkul. He then retired to become the Scribe and secretary of the various Gods of the Dead that followed (first Myrkul, now Kelemvor)

It is highly theorized based on his dialog as it sounds like he had personal experience with the dead three and you find him in a temple to Jergal. Not to mention Jergal has taken the scribe of the dead since losing his full divinity.@@ChristopherOdd

@@ChristopherOdd it is heavily implied, but nothing explicit. If you care to look, in your playthough (part 4) at the 13:55 minute mark, luckless makes a religion check on the Jergal statue outside the chamber where you first encounter Withers.

From the lore, it is most likely that Withers is meant to be Jergal the original god of death who got bored with his position and just gave it away to the dead three when they rocked up to him wanting to usurp the throne. He has titles like "The Final Scribe" and "The Bleak Seneschal" which Withers references quite a few times, calling himself "A scribe, a seneschal" in episode 107 when he resurrected you.

Talk to animal with a certain cow leads to some fun fights. There is a lot you can do with talk to animals and some hilarious dialogue like the cat in Baldurs Gate by the wall

Thank you @ChristopherOdd and @LucklessLovelocks for completing the playthrough to the end. Us loyal fans really appreciate it and what you do. The more often you complete a playthrough to the end, the more likely followers will feel comfortable recommending your videos to others in the future. The bickering and banter made me feel like I was joining a family dinner table session every time. Just enough to feel real but not so much as to be irritating. Most of the time. haha lol I really do hope you both will consider another playthrough, after some time for other things, to experience the game anew with prophetic memories of what is to come (that you learned the first time around, could be new things you missed) and more confidence in the fun of changing it up again. Looking forward to more collaborations.

Multiclassing is where the combat shines in this game. A level 6 warlock/ level 6 Paladin was a very different style and insanely powerful. This game has so many possible combinations of fun

Thanks for a very entertaining playthrough! Most memorable moment for me was when you failed to protect Isobel and the Last Light Inn. A true nightmare state for your game, which I was unaware could occur. I probably would have restarted in the same situation. But you fought on and the adventure became all the more exciting ❣️

This was an amazing play through. Thank you both. Especially thanks for committing to the co-op. I'm sure it wasn't always easy to keep schedules and coordinate, but your conversations about the big fights and decisions were well worth it. Definitely made for some of your best moments. Low key hope you all explore doing the final fight in a different way, explore the all the endings you can from before the different act 3 points of no return (free the Prince, try to become the absolute, etc).

Thanks for the journey guys, being able to watch everyday for a long while was a blast! After getting sadly attached during your DOS2 playthrough, seeing you guys finish BG3 is so satisfying. Been watching since day one. Excellent conclusion to a raucous and chaotic adventure. Watching the in memoriam section of the credits brought a tear to my eye. Never a more perfect place existed to immortalize the love of those departed than in such a masterpiece as this.

I'm really sorry that youtube doesn't reward you guys for this type of content. If I had it my way, this would be the 5-star gourmet content. Thanks very much for the full playthrough, despite all of us ragging on you. P.S. Speak with animals can, if you manage the right dialog choices, generate 2 more allies to call in the final battle. I used a potion for it every morning, so it didn't cost me anything as valuable as a wild-shape charge, but Larian did flesh out the content for it in several places!

Seeing Karlach go is so heartbreaking. Her story is so sad regardless of how you take it. Even in my ending where Me, as a Mind Flayer, Wyll, and Karlach all went to Avernus it's still heartbreaking to know that's where she'll forever be. Albeit it was a badass outro having them rush into battle, ready to take on everything Avernus was going to throw their way.

I have watched every single episode, while playing BG3 myself in the meantime (my Monk/Rogue was awesome, go for it, Odd! You will not regret it). I finally finished watching all episodes...great job guys. I really enjoyed how my play through was completely different from yours but still so good.
