I really became a Sinner Fan because of this event. Objectivly he really could have had an easier Matchup for the finals, but a true champion wants to win in style and win against everyone. I really liked his mentallity and was happy, that he got at least the Davis Cup win.

Novak played a dead rubber last year, a match with Medvedev which was difficult and draining. He won it even though he didn't have to. There are also 200 points that are for grabs and that's not a small amount. That's a mentality of the champion. Sinner has it too. Playing with the greats of sport, while they are still around, is a prefect opportunity to learn and grow.

I'm a big fan of Carlos and was super impressed that he had a good showing here despite injuries, an end of season slump (in terms of titles won) and the least experience on this surface. People's memories are short so I wish to remind them of what an impressive season he had. He improved on 2022 which was already pretty amazing and had the second best win/loss percentage of 84% and at the tender age of 20 has 2 slams under his belt. Wimbledon was epic! I look forward to what he'll bring to us in 2024. I ask that haters take a rest because this young man is a major contributor to this sport. Do us all a favor and cheer your favorite player without trashing another.

What do I think Rafa would have done if given the chance to eliminate Novak? Rafa, the guy who consistently withdrew before playing Federer and Novak in recent years on anything that wasn't clay, that Rafa? Oh, he'd have done whatever possible to eliminate Novak. Go Sinner, way to be a true sportsman and not some fraud who acts like one. I'm very excited to see where he takes things next season.

Nadal final victory against Novak in Hard Court is in the distant 2013 when he was 27-28 years old at US Open. I doubt after all those injuries, time off and being 37 years old would magically turn the tables in his favor. Especially when Novak is so locked in those events and takes care of his body much more efficiently.

They should limit the number of tournaments you can play in, and WHICH tournaments, rather than extending the so-called "off season". This is especially egregious when top players show up and play a challenger for no reason, but it's also silly when you've got a 250-level tournament with one top 10 player and nobody else is ranked over 30. There should be some limitation for top players: only 1 or 2 250s a year (mainly so they can still play their home event) if you're above a certain ranking. Because seriously, another 250 points usually doesn't make a massive difference at the top, but for a player ranked in the 50s or below, a single championship can cause you to jump 20 spots in the rankings.

Tsitsipas is the biggest Looser!
@wimzswimz9843
@wimzswimz9843 8 ай бұрын
Some things i actually saw in ATP finals 2023 1. Tsitsipas's disgraceful match against rune, so he gave 2-0 for rune 2. Hurkacz stole 1 set, so it disadvantaged djokovic's position. He should've played against rune too, so it would've been much fairer. 3. Sinner beat rune, so it saved djokovic's position. But, that was what he got in final. Djokovic unexpectedly turned into a beast mode by beating alcaraz and sinner so easily, so he robbed ATP finals title from sinner. 4. If sinner'd lost to rune, then djokovic would've definitely been eliminated and lost 900 points 5. Up until now, i'm still angry with tsitsipas who walked over cuz of his injury. Because of him, djokovic is still blamed for being a champion of ATP finals as a result of sinner's help as he was facing rune
@user-nw3jl4mm6v
@user-nw3jl4mm6v 8 ай бұрын
And if there weren't a comment from commentator, I wouldn't have known that Alcaraz threw a racket. That's nothing wrong with it but I guess that they wanted to keep the appearance of him being a good boy, but they showed Djokovic breaking his rackets a couple of times
@ribtickle4143

My take on the year from watching the ATP finals. Tsitsipas peaked several years ago and already finds it difficult to compete with those several years younger than him. Rune will win a slam in 2024. Sinner will not. The Alcaraz hype train will roll to a halt. Medvedev will win the US open. Nadal will play a few games and lose to some bums along the way. He will not even be to compete at RG. Sad but inevitable. Kyrgios will come back and win every masters 1000 he enters 😊 Djokovic will get injured and unexpectedly retire. Haha ok that last one is just wishful thinking-- his 'creatin' will have him winning at least two slams per year until he is 47. The season has barely ended but already I can't wait for 2024 season to get started!
