Wow, this video was a 10 out of 10! That intro was hilarious LOL. Great case study, I'm glad you dug deeper and got more numbers the second time. You guys proved my theory I always thought that the ad networks would just be the same. I'll probably stick with Ezoic even when I have enough traffic for the other networks. No reason to switch and I love Ezoic so far! Keep up the awesome work guys! And I can't wait for the content challenge 😁

So far nothing ever paid better than AdSense for the same content (video vs video, large ads vs large ads, small ones vs small ones) on my site. What some networks do is pumping more video and large ads, but they're more intrusive (oh, and they also love foreground ads too, like bottom / top overlays and so on) and not worth the difference in revenue, plus some of them say you'll get more, but then they get their cut from it and you end up losing money in the end. Some networks are also nasty because they only pay CPA, but you only find that out after you have their ads running for a while and you see a dismal revenue. The concept is really good, but in the end, most of those companies just resell AdSense inventory and take a cut from it. They just feel like those KZfaq multi channel networks, but for ads. You end up giving them a cut of your profit without a return. I have to say no, thank you, sorry.

Exactly! The ad networks just resell Adsense and other ad exchange/ad network inventory and take a big cut. I bet the increase in RPM is just their experience in loading up the pages with ads, something you can learn to do yourself but have a much better experience for your readers. Although the sticky ads are nice, as they're viewable, not too intrusive and now even Adsense accepts them, which used to be a differentiator for the networks!! Selling direct is also a way to really increase your RPM's!!

I personally like affiliate earnings the most. I also try to focus on “money” content to make it convert better. But of course ads can be a good addition to the earnings overall.

@@narubi9 people always think that but usually wrong. You should just test it before assuming. Most likely your Amazon RPM would stay the same

Hi! I am moving from adsense to Ezoic and waiting for the approval, but my concern is... is it true that with Ezoic the SEO can be negatively affected because of integrating Ezoic through DNS? I'm using Banahosting and according to my hosting provider the SEO could be affected because of black list of IP addresses from Ezoic due to they will be changing the IP addresses. Honestly These words from the hosting provider don't make sense because Google uses UX, Quality Content Search Intent and Mobile Friendly/Speed optimization as ranking factor and not IP address as ranking factor, please let me know your thoughts, I will appreciate a Billion, because My Website is performing Very well in terms of SEO. Epic video guys, ha, coming from me who is a digital marketer, so the advertising stuff is always my favorite topic. The question I get in my job daily is "why", why do they pay more? That's what I would like to know. Why does Google AdSense pay so much lower? Is it because you mostly get Adwords/Google ad buyers buying on a cheap CPC basis? Is your RPM effected more by your ad placements, traffic, or the scope of the DSP's/ad buyers that your audience/ad network has exposure to? What about joining an actual exchange like Sovrn? That way you cut through all the middleman (ad networks) and their higher commission fees, (which is probably why Mediavine does better than AdThrive) as the exchanges get their inventory from huge sites and ad networks and Sovrn has no minimums? Better yet, what about using something like Advanced Ads to set up a self serve buying portal so you can get DIRECT ad buying. Those ads might come from smaller companies, who may have smaller budgets, but then you can get WAY higher CPM's via a direct buy??? These are just all the questions I have, which is why I'm monetizing my teeny site right now, more for educational purposes than money purposes - I just integrated the all access versions of advanced ads and am testing it now by putting more ads on my site - and now Adsense allows sticky ads which was an advantage of those ad networks before.. I think someday I might join Project 24 just to chat with you guys, as I prefer to learn as I go and am more on a project 100 plan right now, ha!!!

ok, so I actually humored myself and clicked on the Ezoic youtube video you put below your video. I'm very well aware of them, they are just a few blocks away from my company's old building location and have read a lot about them. They bascially addressed a lot of my questions above in addition to giving me a programamtic 101, ha, no need for that for me as I used to be a programmatic buyer :) Interesting they have access to header bidding and direct deals, that intrigues me. But I still am concerned about how they effect site speed from what I've heard and their requirement for deep access to your site in the CNAME area or something. Anyway, just thought I'd share my additional thoughts -ha.

I'm really concerned about how ad serving companies might invade my readers' privacy. Are there any privacy respecting ad agencies? I'm having a hard time digging up that information. I'm fairly certain that most of them do some level of tracking. I'd rather have ads that are content aware rather than viewer aware.

@@masherrugene Thanks for the reply but I've worked with google many times and I know trying to find out more will be a complete waste of time. I've even researched the message they sent me and other people have said trying to figure out their reasoning is a waste of time. The email itself says not to try to fight the suspension because it will not do any good. One thing I have found out over the years is that google doesn't care. So if you are right and ezoic won't work, then I'll have to just take my business elsewhere.

Ezoic is saying that virtually everything I use from Astra to BLUEHOST to Envato to Elementor etc has a negative impact on my speed/performance metrics… I cannot remove all of this at this point after 48 posts. I don’t know why I didn’t see any of these problems with Elementor before I built my website with it and 48 posts! Now I am trying to add Ezoic and seeing how it slows things down. Can you tell me: if I very slowly work on one post at a time, converting to Gutenberg, but leave the pages as they are, will this improve my site speed with Ezoic ? Ezoic doesn’t tell you up front that this will be a problem and while I was researching pagebuilders trying to figure out how to do this on my own, I never heard one bad comment mentioned about Elementor. I also have Astra which is supposedly an additional “problem.” Project 24 doesn’t push Elementor but beware newbies of the KZfaqrs who do push certain products!

The big problem is that some bloggers use these pagebuilders for every blog post. They can be great for building custom pages, but for posts especially it’s best to stick with WordPress. I would go through post by post and convert them back. It will help with site speed and make Ezoic work better.

I switched from adsense to Ezoic and the earnings are great. But ezoic keeps breaking my site. Didn't have these problems with adsense. I keep getting "origin error" in the browser. So I am torn between living with the errors for more money or going back to less money (adsense) but with no errors

@@masherrugene How did you integrate Ezoic? I did it through nameservers. I realized that I had configured only 2 of the 4 nameservers on my hosting, which meant that half of the people who tried to visit my blog got Origin error because there is no server to "serve". I am not an expert and I am probably not explaining this well, but once I configured all four DNS servers, I never got the origin error again.

@@masherrugene Just go to Settings - Nameservers - View instructions, and there you will see 4 nameservers. Then, simply add the 2 nameservers that aren´t currently in your hosting in the empty slots. :)

Switched to Ezoic 3 days ago. Now earning almost 3x of what I was earning with Adsense. But, it did come with a problem. My mobile page speed went from 75 to as low as 20. I don't know why that happened. Been contacting their support for the past 3 days but no reply yet. Has anyone had this problem with Ezoic? P.S - I also lost about 10%-20% of my traffic. It's a common problem. That and the 'origin errors' which kept breaking my site. I've tried Ezoic twice and am going to hold out for Mediavine as I believe I'll get there much faster without Ezoic.

Ezoic is notorious for ruining site speed. Switch to Mediavine when you can. Mediavine is the best because their ads do not hurt your site speed.

@@marid5573 Ezoic uses advanced lazy loading which means it loads the most important content faster than usual, and delays the loading of later content - which can often overall result in a decrease in the site speed "score"

Sorry, who gets $18.00 median average PAGE RPM from adsense? Can anyone confirm they are seeing close to this number?

The number of respondents to that survey who use Adsense was low. That high number was driven by one response who claimed very high RPM from Adsense. Usually we see sites earn $1-$4 RPM on Adsense.

No, not even Mediavine or Adthrive would take you. All three (ezoic, mediavine and adthrive) are google ad partners so you need to be in good standing with google to qualify for their ads.

I think saying “practically significant” would be less confusing. Every time you say statistically significant, I’m waiting for you to show me a bell curve and p-values 😬

Those two terms are not interchangeable. “Statistically significant” means that if they had collected different data, one of the three services might have finished in a different position. It means, if they continued to collect data, those numbers are likely to continue to approach the same values.

First year with my site (first ever site). YTD ad earnings is £275 or $367. Affiliate offer (its a really good one!) £1158 or $1545. That is in 10 months though really. Pretty pleased with that. I can see the light that's for sure. Just need to scale it more. That's with around 2000 views a month. Last month I had a spike to 4000 but its back at around 2000 this month, was hoping I had broken through!
