Sticking with the same bible to mark the positive words would allow you to see the transformation from negative to positive. Transform was your phrase, and I think seeing a different darker color contrasting with the pink in the same Bible could be really neat. I wish you the best as you read through the Bible again, whichever one you choose. All your Bibles are beautiful, and you really bring a special touch to them. Love your videos, Cat! ❤ Thank you for sharing. Your videos are calming and make me smile. 😊

I just started watching your beautiful videos, but I’ve got to be careful because I find myself wanting every single Bible you show 🤣 I’ve reigned it in and just order the Schuyler Treveris in blue. But I thank you for sharing these videos, I want to start journaling in my Bibles and don’t know where to start. But you have such a simple style, I love it 🙏🏽♥️

Thanks for sharing the struggle sis, it’s so real! This year,I have been using the Grace Bible Reading plan which I purchased online, and it gives me 90 plus days to catch up if I miss a day or stay longer in a chapter. It also doesn’t go chronologically or I. The order of the books, it links the different themes of the bible, such as who Christ is etc. I’m doing that in my ESV interleaved bible and taking notes in whatever comes out of that reading. I’m also going through my KJV Treveris and reading that through, and I wanted this translation because it’s slower, and I’m getting also ideas of words or phrases to study. I’m marking it up as I go. No timeline on when I will finish it. And I love that Im taking it slower. I may even decide to re read a book on the journey,as well. It’s my open bible reading plan, and Im letting the Holy Spirit guide me there. I have my Schuyler NIV out to compare translations on any particular verses that aren’t clear In the KjV ❤❤❤. I am also using a few commentaries as well as the bible app Bible Hub.

The larger bibles can be read on the couch or in your bed by using one of those cushioned lap desks. I actually do not know what they are called, but they have a flat surface on top that you can write on or rest a book on to read. The item also has a cushion pillow type of base that sits on your lap. Then you can use the larger, heavier Bible to read for the fifth time this year👍😉

I wonder if the TCR will ever come out in CSB or NLT? 😊

After seeing you compare them I think I really like the font and layout of the Treveris, plus that it's single column.

If I could Just share a tip for new and even seasoned Christians. If possible avoid the study bibles. The authors will tend to push their theology in those. And when new to faith that’s not something realized at first. I realized that the hard way myself. If a new Christian were to study the Jewish roots of Christianity, in a year they would know more than many pastors teaching in the pulpits today. I highly recommend books by Alfred Edersheim to understand the Jewish culture of the time (can all be found free online), as well as Ariel ministries that has some great free studies on their website and also here on you tube. The gospels have made so much more sense to me understanding the Jewish idioms of what Jesus was teaching in the context of the culture and language. It also helps clear up things that tend to be taught incorrectly because of not understanding the culture and language in which it was written. God bless.

With any and I literally mean any Study Bible I will always chew up the meat & spit out the bones. I won't fully follow any pastor or man only God. I pray all people do the same and not worry about different denominations or theories about who said what or their interpretations etc. I will continue to allow God's Holy Spirit to guide me with all my endeavors.

How have you read this Bible 4 times in 6 months; meaning, how many hours do you read daily on average? That’s wonderful! I stopped the video to ask, heh. So, if you talk about that in the video..then I’ll find out on my own ;)

Soooo glad this popped on my recommended. How did the shimmery pink delicata gilding wear? Did it start coming off? Im going to do my first bible and I wanted to go light pink, but I was worried the shimmer would get on my fingers everytime. Im also having a hard time finding a flat one so I ended up buying a darker Archival pink. But I'm still thinking about how light that delicata ink was. >_< Oh and I have a whole color coded system that brings me a ton of joy, but I like yours, I may do something like that for my next bible. You should consider reading out loud. It takes longer, but its helps me process, helps with memorization and hearing the Word of God again is uplifting in general. Highly recommend. :)

I love reading out loud to my cat's during my Devotionals reading time. But I separate my daily routine & Bible study time so I'm always in my Bible more than just one time a day. And each time I go to my Bible there is a reason why I do it. I need to start focusing on memorizing scriptures. I have a few plans on how I want to do this but it just have to wait on the Lord to guide me. As for the art gilt questions. The light pink color you seen it's supposed to red lol many premium Bibles Publishers apply it light like this on purpose so it doesn't over power the gold gilding. Sooooo it's not rubbed off 😂😊 this is why I said I haven't changed of fixed the art gilt yet with an upgrade because I like my colors to dark & vibrant. Ohhhh I'm super excited to have you here for the first time and girly I do a little bit of everything. I also have several different Playlist so you find what your looking better. Like how to add your own art gilt to your own Bible. But unlike other people on YT I actually shared my journey and have a video sharing the (DO & DON'T!) of the art gilt word. The only difference between that video and now I have now learned more (alcohol based) inks are noooo good to use here I didn't know that in the video so this us why it so important to watch more than just one video because you will learn more each time I uploaded a new video to that Playlist. Anyways thank you again for stopping by hope you Subscribe and stick around also consider following me on IG too at Cat_Woods50 ✍📖🙏💕

No I don't speed read I have always read fast since a child. Out loud I read slower but a book with 300-400 pages I can finish it with 3-4 days depending upon how busy I was that day

Thanks so much for sharing Cat. You are such an encouragement to be in the word for ourselves! When you said worry about messing up, I did that. I messed up my first Schuyler Quentel Nasb. I added tabs to the top and they are stiff tabs making some pages wrinkled and now I'm so sad I did that. So I decided to just jazz it all up and roll with it. I just started going through my current bible for the year and marking out The Law of Messiah. 627 total imperative commands for believers today. John Metzger has a great book called The Law, then and now, what about Grace? Of course I'm reading them in context for myself as I mark them. I'm also using Vernon McGee's study on Psalms to take notes as I read through psalms right now. I like to know like when David was writing his, what was happening for him during that time. I'm glad you mentioned not getting overwhelmed. I tend to do that. I want to mark out so many things and then I get bogged down. I started to keep a list now and can check off what I do and don't get to. Have you ever done a bible that you mark out and note take in as a gift for others? I was thinking of doing that for family members that are new to faith in Jesus. Maybe since you have read your Treveris 4 times maybe another translation all together this time as your daily reader? Maybe the complete Jewish study bible or the Tree of Life? Look forward to seeing what you end up deciding to do. May your day be blessed sis.

H Cat, I hope you don't mind my suggestion, but you always suggest to us to take it to the Lord in prayer. You have such a beautiful gift in sharing your talents and ideas which help others to exceed in unexpected ways to praise Our God. God may surprise you with the path to take. 🙂🙏 Thank you for sharing. God bless you. I have you in my prayers that you find your direction.

You are totally correct sis. And that's exactly what I said towards the end. I know God will show me exactly where he want's me to be. I am so excited to learn what it is. I just felt lead to share my thoughts feeling & journey with you. Because so many of you believe I have it all figured out and I never struggle with my Bible reading or marking systems and that couldn't be further from the truth. So I want to try to show you all both the good & bad of my spiritual journey. Thank you so much for watching and supporting my channel I greatly appreciate it

Hi Cat! I really love your video! Just a little note about John MacArthur..... He does have Calvinistic beliefs. Basically that means Jesus didn't die for all only the elected few. I'm praying that you don't believe this. Also..do you have any Bibles on Kindle? I'm thinking about starting a KZfaq channel on this. I'm mostly blind and if a physical Bible isn't a 14 font or more, I can't read it. Stay strong in the Lord and the power of his might!!

Yes you are definitely right about John MacArthur being Calvinist though in some other areas he has some good teachings. I think Cat makes a good point on spitting out the bones. I know there are giant print bibles. I think Pastor Brandon Holthouse has a giant Nasb that he uses when preaching. I want to say maybe it’s 16 point or 18?

@@melissab7777 I'm not sure. She didn't reply to anything I asked about the Kindle so maybe Cat doesn't read Bibles on any Kindle. Glad you know about John MacArthur though! Stay strong in the LORD!!!

Amen Cat! I have gained alot of benefit from John MacArthur’s teachings, I find his exposition to be amazing. And I don’t call myself a Calvinist. I think Cats approach is like mine in a lot of ways. I always have a variety of views in interpretation of the bible as I’m a life long student of the Word.
