No, it was to complete his training as a jedi. The one thing anakin never learned to do was to let go, and this brought him to his downfall. His redemption is completed when he learns to let go when seeing leia and luke together with han chewbacca and r2d2 and c3p0 comemmorating commemorating the battle of endor. Then he fully becomes a jedi and embraces the light side, and appears there as a force ghost

Considering that Palpatine was so powerful, no one else could've stopped him but Anakin. It took a lot of carnage, but ultimately, Anakin was the right guy in the right place. So, I think George Lucas did well in his characterisation. A very conflicted character, teaching us about fate.

He couldn’t save the man who rescued him because he was powerless . He couldn’t save his mother from a horrible fate because he wasn’t there. He lost his apprentice because the Jedi order failed her. He lost his brother/friend because of his hatred and lust for power. And finally lost the love of his life and he wasn’t even able to say goodbye. Anakin truly lived a tragic life full of loss and suffering.

That's a load of crap. The fact that they edited the og actor to our hidensen is not only disrespect to the source material but all a freaking shit to the canon. Darth Vader was there and saw his son suffer to Palpatine, and then, inside the suit with is body a it was, no more was Vader but Anakin Skywalker the one who was looking Like suffer.
