I married a nonbeliever willingly. I defied God knowing I shouldn’t do it. Throughout our marriage and even prior, I begged for us to go to church and to receive Christian counseling. He wouldn’t go. A week ago, he asked for a divorce. I had to move out and move home. Ladies and gentlemen, listen to God. If he is telling you to run, then by Him, RUN. I am suffering much heartbreak from my mistake. I will never blame God for my divorce. He tried to warn me. Please do not yoke with unbelievers. Save yourself the pain. I hope my advice and testimony helps someone today. 🙏

I know a man of God who's wife betrayed him. He forgave her and was asking God to bless the process of his divorce and in his heart he was thinking of marrying a younger woman. Holy spirit told him. Where in the bible do I permit you to remarry another person ? While the wife is alive. He then started praying for reconciliation and indeed it happened that she repented and was healed from whatever happened. God got the glory and they still together till this day.

I was engaged to a divorced man... I even talked to the ex wife concerning why they divorced... he pretty much cheated on her with someone else and he says she was crazy... I had no peace the entire time so I finally called it off after 8months... til this day he still has hard feelings towards me for the Break up... I had to let go and let God!

Unfortunately I've heard of a case where pastor and elders were advising a woman to try to work on their marriage even in cases where there was severe abuse going on. They were advised to not continue filing for separation. Elders from the church visited the woman and there was a lot of peer pressure for over a year and a half regarding this issue. Later wife found out that the children were being abused secretly. Continued filling for divorce. Even knowing that, they were asking the wife to give the husband another chance. Husband had a senior role in the church. Later Pastor publicly shamed the wife, an advised that no members of the congregation were to continue staying in contact, public rebuke before entire congregation and kicked them out of congregation. After that the husband was formally charged by the police for abusing the children and was sent to jail. Unfortunately there is real horrible religious abuse that happens in this area.

My husband passed and I can get married again but he would most certainly have to be to a man who has either lost his wife or has never been married. I had an old ex try to come back into my life who when we dated I was madly in love with with. He was divorced from his wife and try to convince me that God was putting us back together. I prayed and prayed and asked the Lord for a sign which I never got. He is now gone and remarried and I'm happily married to Jesus...THE BEST husband In the world!!

The Holy Spirit gave me this truth years and years ago while still in my youth.... because of this knowledge whenever I meet a divorced man I asked him to give me background on his divorce.... about 90 per-cent of times (with the men I was neeting) it's not biblical because they usually say "we fell out of love" and sadly that means I cannot be involved with them bc if I do, I'll be committing adultery....preaching truth is very hard but Jesus is watching and judging us. I ask for prayers because of the way my husband talks to me and treats me. He is never wrong, I am always wrong and it feels like he never listens to me. It's so hard because we have a 1 1/2 year old daughter we both love immensely but he treats me as if I am a child too and it breaks my heart every day. Can't financially divorce. But left after being abandoned. Long story but he loved men and drugs and threatened to kill me (up close in my face) . I strongly feel God took care of me and got that man away from me. I'm happy to be alone and single.

I am recently divorced. I definitely hate it also. I literally felt my heart ❤ break in half when I realized there was no fixing our relationship. The Lord had been preparing me for 7 years. I prayed and fasted for those 7 years, but it just didn't work out. I always felt chained to the relationship because I didn't believe in divorce. He definitely was never a true husband. He let me carry the burden and responsibility for everything including the kids household and I provided for everything. Definitely not biblical grounds for divorce supposedly right. So I stayed and prayed and fasted. One day I was so sad because I had to go stand in line to get free uniforms for my kids. I ended up having to make 3 trips for 1 shirt. I was overwhelmed. That day God sent me a man to prophesy to me. He began speaking to me and basically told me that my husband did not abandoned me physically but that he had abandoned me emotionally and that because he was not acting as a husband that it was grounds for divorce. He also told me that the standards of God was not the standard of man. (This was because everyone around me were always telling me well he doesn't hit you or is with other women, so basically just suck it up)After the divorce I was still unsure so I was praying one day and reading in the bible what was biblical grounds for divorce. As I was reading the verse in the bible that says Mark 10:9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate. Well as I read this verse God highlighted two things to me. 1st did I bring this relationship together which means that even if you got married in church that doesn't mean he put it together? 2nd He told me that even if he brought that marriage together or not that he could take apart that marriage, if one of the member of the marriage is not performing thier duties of thier half of the relationship. Just like I performed miracles on the Sabbath so I can take a marriage apart. So definitely be obedient to God. He knows who is going to change and who is not. Always pray and fast about such things it's nothing to be taken lightly. But deep down we know what God is telling us. Take it to God.

From a different perspective, I'm a woman in her 30's and I've never been married. I want to get married but all of the good christian men are divorced!! When I tell ppl why I refuse to date a divorced man, they look at me like I'm outrageous/judgmental, but I can't disobey God. I REFUSE to sway. So, I've come to the conclusion that God is working some things out. But I have full faith and I know in my heart that God will bring my future husband & I together ,in due time❤

Agree.... Divorce is painful and kids hurt too.... Please don't have kids if you not committed.... Kids suffer the most. Wow! I have been praying for answers in my marriage. I continue to pray that our marriage will be saved but also pray that God’s will be done. My husband has been hard hearted because of hatred and bitterness that he refuses to let go. I continue to pray that he will be saved and that God will remove his stony stubborn heart and replace it with a tender responsive heart (Ezekiel 36:26) but I hear this and it makes me wonder if Gods plan is for me to move on. No matter what, I know Gods plan is what is right and He will not lead me astray.

My wife, after 4 years, told me last week that she didn't love me and wanted a divorce. I had issues from a previous, abusive relationship that I was in and I carried that pain and trauma, I guess, from that relationship to my marriage. My wife (or ex now) is the most gracious, kind, beautiful human being and now she feels nothing towards me. I let past hurts interfere with my marriage, not intentionally. And now I lost the love of my life. We had two young boys together. And I feel like shit, to be honest. I started on the road to recovery over the last few days and will get better mentally. For me and my boys. I can and will no longer let the past dictate my future.

Yes, this is true. What I feel horrible about is the people that are abused by their spouse and the church says they still have to remain married.

I didn't break up with the father of my child for years, because I thought it was bad and God does not like it. But he definitely is demonized and didn't want to get delivered, although I met his demon in person. He fell into alcoholism too and I fell into sinful behavior. I prayed for God may show me a way out and He did! I got to know a christian psychatric doctor and we became friends. He supported me. Now we are beautiful parents and God told me through an apostel that all my sins are washed away. He healed my Lichen sclerolus and I can focus on Jesus a lot more than in this relationship. I keep praying for the father of my daughter to get delivered as he is suffering a lot because of the demon(s). Do not feel like you are not allowed to break up after you tried a lot of things, prayed a lot and noticed you are in a toxic relationship. God loves you and your husband should love you and look at you with the eyes Jesus looks at you. Be blessed!

I heard of a woman who cheated on her husband and got pregnant from the affair. Her husband divorced her. They both did not remarry. TWENTY years later they reconciled and remarried! He said if we are unfaithful to Jesus and He forgives us why can’t we forgive one another? True story. The Youth Pastor told us the story who was attending their wedding and that was his cousin who had divorced her. What a testimony of true forgiveness!

ABANDONMENT (leaving) also mean if they LEAVE their HUSBANDLY or WIFELY Duties. If a husband or wife no longer want to have sex or a man no longer want to provide they are ABANDONING their husbandly or wifely duties and therefore grounds for divorce are permitted. Anyone can just get married and say now I'm not going to work or have sex any more...you're trapped. You're NOT trapped because they have ABANDONED their DUTIES...Which is the same as ABANDONMENT.

I have become a bitter, self-conscious, angry women because I stayed in my marriage. I truly believe God gave me a chance to leave in the beginning when my husband confessed to his adultery but I chose to stay, and it led me to do things I regret and can't undo. We need to listen and be aware of who we come into communion with. I'm still unhappy and stuck because I see no value in myself I know God loves me. It's been 8yrs of these torment, and I still don't know how to love myself. All I know is the day I do learn to truly forgive and love myself I will leave this marriage. That's the scary part because I love this man so much but I can't figure out how to let go of the pain he caused to move on in peace and it's not possible. The memories will always be there and if I do forgive something or someone will say something by accident to trigger my past. A billboard a show, something on the radio something I read it's all over the place. Marriage sucks for me it was ruined the day I stepped into it and that's what hurts the most it wasn't shattered years later, I came into a marriage where the adultery was already happening and I didn't know it. 💔

My wife divorced me and cut me off from her and our daughter even though we were active in church, even though I was faithful. I had a full time job, I was a loving father and a loving husband. I never cheated, and she left me alone to suffer. I forgave her but to this day I think she cheated on me. I can't understand any other reason she would do something crazy like that. Her heart went angry and cold.

Its hard to believe that if a husband cheats and leaves and divorces you, you cant remarry. In my opinion, its not a sin to remarry in such case. Its a strong recommendation not to remarry but not a sin. I know some godly people whose spouses left and time later they found a goldy spouse.

There is not so called biblical ground in the bible for remarriage after divorce. He or she can only remarry after his or her divorced wife or husband dies. Romans 7:1-3. If they remarry before their divorced wife or husband death they will surely go to hell because of adultery. Mark 10:11-12, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

I'm crying hard right now. I was abused in my first marriage and he had various addictions. He harmed me daily and in front of our children. I spoke to a pastor at the time and that pastor told me my first husband broke our vows in treating me so poorly and the children too. It took me many years to divorce him and many years to remarry again. I wanted a whole family for my 2 kids as the father left us and would not pay support. I was alone with being single mom for years. I trusted that pastor and I remarried another many years later. He adopted my 2 kids and we were together through the raising of our kids. Addiction took him away from us as well and it killed me even more. I felt lost and empty and alone in my own home. I divorced the 2nd person after so many many tries in therapy and all kinds of intervention. I'm understanding I'm still married to my first husband who hurt me daily. I thought I was doing the right thing keeping myself and my kids safe. Now I've been in adultery since 1999. My life is over Pastor Vlad. 😢

I was a missionary’s daughter. What hurt me was that there are no grounds for severe physical abuse. As a wife you are supposed to suffer it out till God changes the heart of your spouse. When I asked for help I was told to pray about it. I did for 15yrs. The ex said, “maybe If you had prayed with me and suffered a little longer I would have learned to love you.” Terribly hurt me and damaged our children to the point the state was stepping in. They told me I was negligible for not leaving him for the safety of our kids. When I left the preacher who married us called. He cared more about telling me I could never be with another man than the pain we were in. My ex was a pastor. I had to fight 3 1/2yrs to divorce. I had to stand against the church, my family, I lost everything but I saved my kids. God prefers obedience over sacrifice. Your pain means nothing. The word does not change. I have struggled alone every day since. It crippled my relationship with God. But every time I thing about going back or was it the right thing I see it was the only choice. Why do only men have rights? Why is cheating grounds and abuse means nothing? Because someone else touching your play thing is more important than her personal welfare? Men will never understand. Unless you know what it feels like to be owned and powerless.

The only 2 scriptural grounds for remarriage is Adultery or a spouse passes away. But if a spouse commits adultery & they have sexual relations before a divorce has taken place. Then those grounds for divorce are now void.Because having relations is an act of forgiveness hence dissolving the scriptural grounds for divorce.

I been through some trying situations. But I am also living proof that Jesus never left me.

I married my husband, who is a new believer, but of course, fell into false teachings of Calvinism and the Paul washer set so he is really struggling with God - he is constantly talking about wanting a divorce and constantly telling me I’m not a woman of God, even though I’m trying to be as godly as possible, and he is essentially just absolutely lost in sin, and he doesn’t understand anything about the heavenly courts of God, how the devil can work against him, based on his sin, andhonestly, I want God to heal the situation because I think God can do something great with us, but my husband’s heart is so hard and he has so much pain from his past relationships. I was married to a narcissist, ..i never knew he was a narcissist after many years God drew my heart to research as and I tried over so many years believing is it me the problem. He didnt want to go church..me thinking he was a Christian due to being baptised too.. and thinking he change etc and live right. He started getting abusive to me. I asked God for help. Went before Pastor..because when I mentioned I am leaving him he ran to church...then after a few months fell into his old ways of trying to control me..and hurt me..with words too. I .gave him loads of chances etc..prayed..but after many years of trying and being used as a scape goat for his actions I left for my own safety and children. He met someone else within the year. We divorced due to his abuse. He met a muslim woman and concerted to Islam and remarried. Am I free to remarry as Christian?

A marriage takes two people and a divorce takes two people as well. The difference is only side wants the divorce why the other would rather fight for their marriage. I dislike bragging about this but I’m getting a divorce and ever since she handed me the papers I haven’t been the same. The thing that I’m afraid of is her already being with someone after we separate. Of course I have two paths: Stay single forever and raise our four kids or give time for myself and remarry. But with the way the world is nowadays, it’s best for me to stay single.

My husband left me and our three kids, he cameback and I forgave him,but then he acted absent all the time,eventually he got a diagnose of a personnality disorder and I found out he went to black masses, even though he would go to our Catholic church on Sundays,that felt like the biggest betral,we are separated 2 yrs now, we are getting divorced and I've applied for an annulment,and I've heard you can only get an annulment if the person is sick (spychologically) or if they hid something from you before or if you were forced.

Thank you pastor Vlad we all need to accept the biblical truths no matter how uncomfortable they may make us. Especially when they divorce they cannot remarry because it’s adultery people don’t like that part.

Divorce and sin of my parents have utterly destroyed my once faith filled family. I was an adult when this happened and still I was affected. However, God uses what the devil meant for evil, and He turned it for my good. I have learned things from their divorce I would have never learned otherwise. I learned that everyone will fail you. Even our family will fail us. I learned that my only hope is The Word Of God and His Holy Spirit. I can only trust Yeshua The Messiah. He has never and will never fail me. I now put God first! Before, I didn't even know or realize I was putting my family above God!

Yeah and marriage was also never meant to have Government having control of the institution either but here we are. You can't tell me God expects people to stay in emotional or physical abuse.
