I didn't find my recovery to be "spontaneous" as some have said. It was gradual, which seems consistent with the fact that nerves are the slowest to recover (as compared to other tissues like muscles, tendons, etc). I am almost three months in and about 90% recovered (natural smile is not 100%). I have done facial massage, acupuncture, acupressure, moxibustion, and Chinese herbs. As Meghana said, the strength comes back gradually. Stay positive and you will improve!

Hi there, what if any dietary changes did you do? I'm day 5 taking antiviral and steroids, vitamins B12,B6, Zinc, Turmeric, and Folic Acid. Im eating lots of green leaf vegetables and water water water. My eye is the most irritation that I have with the endless headaches, feeling weak and shaking, and ear pain.

I cut a lot of fast food which I shouldn’t have been eating in the first place. I ate a lot of greens too but my acupuncturist suggested I do less because leafy greens are considered “cold” foods which supposedly isn’t good for the spleen. And the spleen contributes to Bells according to Chinese medicine. I’m still eating more fish, blueberries, avocado, and 82% cocoa chocolates. All of these are good for brain and nervous system health so I’ve read. Get plenty of sleep and you will recover!

I'm on my first month with bell's palsy, I've seen some improvements but they are not thaaaaat obvious. The part that still doesn't move much is my mouth/cheek. At least my forehead/eyebrow/eye moves way more. Every patient is different, but I only hope that I can recover 100% and be normal again :(

@@CaryC88 hiii I'm 3 1/2 months now and I think I have like 75% of recovery :) I can smile now (it's not perfect but looks like a smile) and my face looks way more symmetric. I'm still kind of weak near my cheeks/mouth/forehead but they all move. My mouth and my eye are the ones that need more recovery yet. But I'm feeling good! I developed synkinesis because I had very nerve damage but I'm still on treatment and going to therapy (and my exercises at home). But I'm feeling hopeful now :) how are you doing?

Ma'am I don't have as much control on my right side face muscles as of left side. Is it Bell's palsy I have been suffering from cold for 2 weeks and have been seeing symptoms similar to Bell's palsy for 2-3 days? I have pain behind my right ear and I do have some facial movement but not as usual. If it is Bell's palsy then which category do I belong to? Please can you tell me. And, thank you for your video.

I just got started on my Bell’s palsy Monday February 13th. 2023. Everyone I talk to keeps saying oh I was 100% better after 2 weeks but then they have nothing else to say about what they did or didn’t do or anything so I don’t even believe them anymore. We will see how it goes. I went to the eye doctor yesterday & I go to a neurologist tomorrow. 🙏🏼😇🙏🏼😇🙏🏼😇🙏🏼😇🙏🏼😇

I developed bells on 24 January 2023 and saw major improvement after two weeks. I did PT immediately but also did some home facial exercises and Also massaged my face with a facial roller under a facial steamer for heat. My PT also place a Tens unit on my left side which I truly believe that stimulated my nerves. Its 19 Feb and I’m at 95% and have 2 more PT appt.

Hello ma’am I have got bells palsy in my last trimester of pregnancy and it’s been 9 month of Bell’s palsy, I haven’t got much recovery on my face. Whenever I try to move eyebrow, nose or try to smile, my eye gets smaller. When I try to smile my all the muscle near to ear try to pull my face I feel like...probably I have recover 30%, but it’s been long time. I have no patience ma’am, do you think I can recover fully as I got Bell’s palsy in pregnancy, my neurologist said it’s gonna take longer to recover my face. I’m feeling so depressed as I have little baby, couldn’t get much time for my self. I’m already taking some physiotherapy for my face but doesn’t help much. I really need your suggestion🙏🏻 I’m looking forward for your reply
