Day was handed an elite program on a silver platter and has had nothing but talent since day one of his tenure and has yet to win a national title, hasn’t gotten over the hump against Michigan, and struggles with an always overhyped Notre Dame. The fact he pulls top recruiting classes means nothing because there are no results. The fact he’s only lost a handful of games and is a “winning coach” means nothing when you only play 2-3 good teams (Michigan, Penn State, maybe you could make a case for ND sometimes) year in and year out throughout the season. This year he’s got 5th and 6th year seniors, dominated the transfer portal, and Harbaugh left Michigan. This is Ryan Days year for the taking. If he don’t win it all this year he never will. I’m not even an OSU fan and I expect them to win it all. If they don’t, I’ll be surprised but not really at the same time. I mean ND is one of the winningest programs in cfb history. But that’s easy to do when you play the likes of Boston College on a regular. Same can be said for Day. Beating up on poor ole teams like Maryland and Rutgers every year is nothing to brag about. Handle your business then play a behemoth like UGA, Alabama, or LSU who are proven winners and stay upfront center stage year in and year out, prove himself then people will stop doubting
