Ryan Day and Ohio State have wrapped up spring practice and eventually the 2024 College Football season will arrive with some of the same faces and bigger expectations. Recently Josh welcomed Coach Day as the latest guest on the Pate State Speaker Series. What are the biggest challenges facing not only Ohio State but the sport in general? What are the biggest hurdles and lessons to learn heading into this season in Columbus? Josh, this was an excellent interview, and this series will be one to watch. Ryan Day is a guy who gets it at this level. There are only a few coaches who can work at this level and have success. When he gets them to the top it will elevate this program to another level adding to what is already great. Any Ohio State fan who wants him replaced going forward is a fan that needs another team to root for ! You cant replace guys like this and expect better.

@@landonlc4 So it was his fault his quarterbacks dad (Kyle McCord) wanted to be assured that his son was the starter already knowing he was bringing in Will Howard to compete and then Quit. Our backup who was hurt in the Penn State game didn't get much practice you being injured and all we had was a Freshman who came late during the summer! Those aren't excuses those are the facts. Case in point look what happened to FSU when Travis went down. So maybe instead of trying to troll use a bit of common sense if you have any! Food for thought homie! It's not his fault Kyle didn't want to compete, and hit the portal. Devin and Lincoln didn't leave!

I believe that Ryan Day and Kirby Smart are the 2 best coaches in College football. They also have the 2 best programs. It took Smart several seasons to win it all and Day's story is similar. It's only time until he wins it all.

All Ryan Day has to do is beat Xichigan. The B1G championship game takes care of itself. Assuming Ohio State goes somewhere after the season, this is something uncontrollable. @@ajsouthward961 Every team is gonna have ? marks heading into the season with how the transfer portal looks now. Like Josh said, the way their defense is built they don’t need the offense to score 30 every game. With how they develop QB and WR along with the surplus of 5 stars they have at both positions I think they will be ok in those areas. I’m not worried about the o-line because Chip Kelly has never needed a great o-line. His focus will be to get the ball out quick to these stud RB’s and WR’s. This is also the most talent Chip has had to work with. As a neutral viewer of the B1G, everyone not named Oregon should watch out this year

Day is tone deaf. His teams have not been physical and can't run the ball, especially in short yardage and goal line situations. Last season was one of the worst yards per carry seasons in the last 30 years at OSU. They need to be more physical in practice.

They are compiling evidence of a major, organized effort over three years that in fact was directly rule-breaking. Your coach is a cheating, lying, weirdo who left you in a mess. No one is lower class than Hairball. The stain on your program will be there forever and there will be nothing you can do about it no matter how much you flap your jaws.

@@chadhart720 Nope you just say anything. UM got caught because the FBI was investigating a UM staffer trying to engage with a 13 year old🤨and the UM beat were trying to cover it up. When it came out that's when everything else came out. Chris partridge caught deleting evidence of sign stealing. 🤣At least have facts when you talk to me!

Hate all you want, i came here to just listen to an interview as a football fan. This man is full of 💩. He says "NIL what youre looking for? This isn't the place for you!" Look at how much you spent on those transfers! Why cant you just be a fn honest coach?! "Im not looking for quanity, i want that quality." Dude wth are you doing with all that quality?! This is the same man who said he'd hang 100! On Michigan. I do see too much personal growth from that point until now. I wanna like this guy (IM A MICHIGAN FAN) because he does WIN! Yet ill call a spade a spade! Better be walking that talk Day, because the wolverines aren't rebuilding, theyre just reloading.
