Thank you.. this video helped me a lot . Having issue on a Scania bus which changed to led bulb and it effects turn signal light keep on when u turn fog lamp on.. I think I need a decoder.. I tried to carry a 67bulb with it , and the problem came back on the second day.. I'll try this.. thanks a lot

The decoder might just do the trick! We have seen weird issues arise because the vehicle was not seeing a halogen bulb, every situation we came across this the decoders rectified it.

I have a flikcering issue with mine but its only on one side, Should i install both of them or just a decoder on the affected side please??
@sorealsounds3 ай бұрын
Your first step should be to determine if it’s a bulb issue or not since it is one side. Swap the bulbs from left to right. If the problem stays on the same side you will need to do some testing with the vehicle wiring to determine if it is Pulse Width Modulation occurring or an issue with the vehicle. If the flickering switches to the other side you know it is not a vehicle issue and it is a bulb issue.

Hi, i put in Philips hir2 LEDs in my dodge Challenger. They work fine in regards to producing light, but there's an annoying buzzing/coil whine type of noise coming from my instrument panel whenever they are on. Would putting a decoder in the chain solve this?
@sorealsounds7 күн бұрын
@@komzatonHC hmmmmm. In the buzzing / whine a constant sound or does it change tone / pitch as you drive?
@komzatonHC7 күн бұрын
@@sorealsounds No, it only stops briefly when radiator fan turns on to cool the engine and then continues in a constant tone. I ordered a Philips brand decoder so I'm hoping that will solve the problem

@@komzatonHC a decoder may help but that depends on the actual issue. If the Phillips decoder is only a resistor or providing resistance then it may not help very much. If the Phillips decoder has capacitance then it may help. If the Phillips decoder does not work then reach out to us and order one of our Lucas Lighting Decoders. Our Lucas Lighting decoders have variable resistance and capacitance.

The decoder worked and the buzzing noise is gone. Is it safe to put the decoder inside the headlight housing of the dodge challenger, cause it's producing a lot of heat, as well as the LED. It would be very cramped and sealed space without ventilation, but I don't know if all together it's producing melting temps. Otherwise I have to leave it open and exposed.

@@komzatonHC Awesome! If the product you have is well made then it should not be a problem inside the housing. Our Lucas Lighting products have never been an issue inside of a housing, but I can’t speak on behalf of the products you have. I would suggest be thoughtful on where you place them in the housing and ride it out to see how they hold up as we would not recommend leaving the back open.

I don’t get what you mean. You can only plug one of them into the light. I don’t understand what you do with the other one.

Lucas Lighting decoders are sold in pairs, one for each light ( driver’s side & passenger’s side ). The decoder has two connectors, one side connects to the vehicle wiring and the other side connects to the LED headlight bulb. You putting the decoders in between the vehicle and the LED bulb. Repeat connection process for the other side with the second decoder.

Old technology

@@leemobai762 To people familiar with the technology and lighting, yes. There are many people today that still do not know what decoders are or have ever heard of them. Lucas Lighting decoders are unique in the sense they do not just have one resistance value inside of them, plus they have capacitance where a lot of other decoders do not.
