Can you have sclerotic osseous lesion in pelvis from multiple myeloma?

I just recently found out on my patient portal that I have a skull lytic that my doctor failed to tell me saying that it's not bad enough to mention to me. With that said, what exactly does it mean to have it on your skull? And how fast does something like that progress? And, do you think this is something that should be treated now since it was caught early?.....for some reason my doctor doesnt want to treat it until it gets bad and I dont understand why that is. Can you please give me any info on this? Thank you!

We recommend you ask your treating doctor if this is something you should be concerned about. You could ask your doctor - Is it a new lesion or has it been there since diagnosis? Is it an active lesion or dormant? Should I be taking bone strengthening agents if it is a new active elision?
