Dr. Fahey is a nutritional biochemist with extensive background in plant and human nutrition and phytochemistry. Dr. Fahey was an Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins Medical School, where he directed the Cullman Chemoprotection Center, a leading center for the study and development of plant-based protective agents. He had faculty appointments in three departments at Johns Hopkins Schools of Medicine and Public Health where he conducted laboratory and clinical trials, taught graduate courses, and mentored students since 1993. He spent the first 15 years of his career in agricultural biotechnology research and industrial process development. Dr. Fahey “retired” in mid-2020 to focus his attention entirely on outreach and educational efforts which include podcasts, writing, and lecturing widely. He maintains adjunct appointments at JHU and elsewhere and may be available to consult for socially responsible food and supplement companies and foundations.
Among the companies for which Dr. Fahey presently consults, are: Brassica Protection Products, which he co-founded over two decades ago, develops nutritional ingredients from cruciferous vegetables. They provide their naturally-sourced glucoraphanin (TrueBroc) as a source of sulforaphane to the leading manufacturers for nutritional supplements, beverages and foods. He has long been a scientific advisor to Kuli Kuli, the leading moringa brand in the US. I have a moringa tree, or outcropping, cause it was ten 25’ tall stalks this year. i live in Florida, and it grows carefree, east! I use the fresh leaves in smoothies, salads, and stews. And dried leaves as tea.

In one of his vids he says that mornings is heat sensitive, so making tea may not be a good idea.

I have a Filipino friend in Southern Midwest growing a Moringa tree in backyard. Though spouse says it’s not as powerful as one’s in Philippines. Wonder why not? But they use leaves all the time in cooking soups.

Is it safe to use Black Cumin powder from India??(that doesn’t say “organic”. It came packaged like my Kuli Kuli Moringa powder, but the Fact that it isn’t organic worries me? Though I know 2 plants are very different. Thanks for having Lisa and Jed on Chef AJ.. as I now feel safer using the Moringa Powder from Kuli Kuli I had in my cupboard.

I have the Kuli kuli moringa organic powder. The exact package that's shown in the video. On the back, it has a warning disclaimer that it may contain chemicals, including lead, that's proven to cause cancer. I had some old moringa powder that's simply naked Certified Organic Moringa Leaf Powder in a white package with green writing. I just want to find a healthy product that's actually healthy, without chemicals, lead and pesticides.

I have low blood platelets. I use aloe, and fenugreek. I was at 115 and increased to 240. I get my blood tested every three months b/c I’m dealing with autoimmune disease, so I know it worked for me. This is informational only.

I would add a chunk of fresh aloevera to my smoothies every day. I would cook a tablespoon of Fenugreek to either rice, quinoa, oatmeal, polenta, etc.I also sprout Fenugreek, but i raised my platelets prior to using the Fenugreek sprouts. @@twinkle533
