I bowled before i started cornhole, and its the same concept for both. So many types of balls and bags you can choose from and it all comes down to trying a few yourself then getting used to it. You cant get bags based off other people bcuz it might not be for you. Throw a few, figure out what speeds you like more then get a bag within those speeds and get used to them.

Any lure you choose is fine, just put a glob of power bait on it I think almost any consistently manufactured, ACL approved bag, is just fine for 99% of us. Just pick a bag and throw it daily for a month. For me its run of the mill Slide-Rite bags. Daily practice is the power bait of cornhole

Don't ever sleep on X level Cornhole, Shadows are my favorite. They have a new bag either out or coming out soon here that is a great alternate for a wizard and or Sorcerer for a better price. I was able to get a set and I prefer them over my wizards. Better hand feel and more hole friendly. (Again personal preference). I started with fire bags and when I want to go hole for hole I stick to vengeance and or Incinerators. I prefer the more budget friendly companies out there. My next purchase will probably be from black flag cornhole as they are ACL stamped and a really great price. Even running a deal over there right now. For me I don't need ACL stamp and I would bet most people don't but Reynolds, Fire, Black Flag seem like a great way to get an ACL bag for the best prices. However, a lot of these companies out there are using similar or same materials and mixing/ matching fills.

Wrong. ACL & ACA have a list of regulation bags that are allowed. You can NOT just use ANY bag.
