THE SIDE NOTE - The truck market is kind of crazy right now! If you own a truck...there's never been a better time to sell. If you're looking to buy a truck...well...you may look at having to pay top dollar. I know of 2 truck owners that recently traded-in or sold their trucks and either received every dollar back or close to it even though their vehicles were 3-5 years old and had 50K+ miles on it. Both were in excellent condition, well-maintained and that makes a difference but it's still just unheard of. What's the craziest story of truck prices (either trade-in, selling or buying) that you've come across?

Just got a 2018 f 150 xlt, certainly overpriced but ive never been happier with a vehicle in my life. Went from having every feature in my fusion to having no features yet its fine by me. Can only imagine the f150 in this video is worth it.

@@auto_exclusive honestly i dont mind that it has no features. When i learned to drive things were very different. So its like being a teen again. Only modern feature is bluetooth. No navigation or anything. Also 2018 had the sexiest grille ever. Love this thing.

Yes, this video was made over 2 years ago...goes to show you how much inflation there has been (especially when it comes to vehicles). I'm guessing these prices could be off by as much as $10k.

Your first statement is bullshit the car loses at least 25% of its value as soon as it drives off the lot and the car dealership will never pay you out as much as you paid Even if it is a brand new 2023

Two things. First, keep in mind that this video was being written and made going on 1 1/2 years ago and the auto market in the past year has been going through an unprecedented period where virtually everything was turned on its head...used cars could sometimes sell for more than new cars...people could have owned a truck for a couple years and put 10's of thousands of miles on it and then turn around and sell it for more than they paid.....etc...etc. What's gone on during this recent time is not reflective of how the auto market typically works. Second, it's a saying that people have used over a long period of time that vehicles lose 25% of their value once it drives off the lot....never meant to be literally true but just makes a point that a process of noticeable depreciation begins as soon as a new car is first sold.
