There are five levels on the DEFCON system, used by the American military, to denote how close the country is to a possible nuclear war. Let's break down the levels and see where we're at now!

Actually, DEFCON 2 is condition red, not orange. It means that the armed forces are ready to mobilize in less than 6 hours. DEFCON 1 is condition white, not red. It means nuclear war is imminent and that the armed forces are at maximum readiness, ready to take action against any threat they may encounter.

Someone posted the question is there a Defcon 0? (Zero) The answer is yes there is a Defcon 0, however, nobody would know it, nobody would be alive to initiate the Defcon 0, therefore, it would not exist and neither would any living thing after Defcon 1++. When Defcon 1 is eminent would be a good time to ask God to forgive you, your sins, and to thank Him for all the good things He's done for you and to save your soul. For non-believers, those who have no faith, just bend over and kiss your a*s goodbye.

O.k. some guy set his underwear on fire so now check out granny in her parachute whites and do a respectful pat down. Uh, who's on first? There are the unknown unknowns ...... put your hardhat on and pray. The say so types got nuttin' nuttin' to help you understand what the situation the situation is in.
