I am not certain about the connections between Fass, vessel, and fasten. If they exist, they are a bit more complex or indirect, possibly going back to proto-Info-European times. Thank you so much for your kind words!!! 😁

@@josterha I believe that Fassbender as well as Fassbinder are professional names, referring to someone who binds the wooden pieces together with a metal binding to make barrels, basically the same as a cooper, which has the German equivalent of “Küfer.”

This might be something that also be offered at a Volkshochschule or Fachhochschule, which are more like community or city colleges. University and Universität do not mean exactly the same thing. Different systems and philosophies regarding higher education…

Natürlich etwas am Thema vorbei geschrieben, Aber das macht fast Nichts, da es sich nicht um im Fass gelagerte Flüssigkeit handelt. Wenn es das wäre, wäre ich fassungslos.

Kann ich erfassen was nicht fassbar ist? Unfassbar ist fuer mich was fuer die Mehrheit der Menschen eine erfassbare Selbstverständlichkeit ist. Nämlich religiöser Glauben. Religion kann offensichtlich nicht existieren ohne Glauben, allein mir fehlt der Glaube. Als Verfasser einer Verfassung, kann ich es nicht fassen, daß es generell nicht erfasst wird, daß die Verfassung notwendig ist und mit dem Volk leben und wachsen muß.
